Once again, if you don't agree with BO, you are wrong.

Has it ever occured to you that songwriters write songs first and
foremost to please themselves and don't think about anyone else while
doing it?

As a songwriter myself, I write the songs that come into my head. I
have very little control over it. Basically you get an idea and it's
either work on it or don't work on it.

And loads of people who think it's the best album the band ever put
out.

I seem to recall them winning a bunch of awards and selling a lot of
albums. Does that usually happen when no one likes and album?

If they are going

That is the most fucking ridiculous thing I have ever heard. People
change as they get older. Sometimes people change because they want to
change, sometimes it just happens. If someone changes, that does not
automatically mean they are doing it for someone else. I use to smoke
a lot of pot, now I hardly ever smoke pot. Why? Because smoking pot
makes me feel shitty. I changed for me.
