Less than a week from right now, The Ride 2008 is taking place in West
Orange, NJ (07052)

The Ride 2008 is raising funds for a youth program that does mentoring,
outreach and missions on a large scale for the area. The kids can use all
the help we can give them so after 18 years of volunteering for the
organization, I've decided to turn our yearly ride into an event to benefit
them directly.

We're preparing for a cruise through Utah. One of our stops is at
Ticaboo, a resort area near Lake Powell.

Can anyone tell me if Highway 276 that drops south from Highway 95 to
Ticaboo is all paved?

I stopped for gas in Hanksville last time I went through and the guy at
the mini-mart told me the road was gravel, steep, had a cliff with no
barriers and was busy with rock-throwing trucks. After looking at a map
I can only guess he was talking about one of the other, smaller roads.

Any info out there?????

inseam but am 6'5" tall. I feel a little cramped on longer rides. Is
there a way to raise the seat so I am not quite so crunched up? It's
an 83,so it's not a super expensive bike (any more) but goes well
except for this.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. -- A man and woman who were hit and killed in New
Smyrna Beach are two of five people killed in the first three days of this
year's Bike Week event.


Authorities said the couple was riding on one motorcycle near a gas station
on state Road 44 in New Smyrna Beach Sunday night when they apparently
turned into the path of a truck.

"It is awful," a witness said. "Your stomach really drops. It is not
something you want to see."

One of the victims was visiting Central Florida from Georgia and the other
from Tennessee.

Also, officials said 61-year-old Amedeo Revellini was also traveling Sunday
night in the wrong direction along U.S. 1 in New Smyrna Beach when he
collided with the other motorcyclists. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bike Week continues through next Sunday.


Eight people died because of motorcycle-related crashes during the 10-day
event last year.
