Hi,
almost 500 miles on BT016 (16s) has passed. first impression: it is so
different from Pilot Roads (PRs). second impression: it have something
in common with BT021 (21s) according to my very vague recollections,
some unpredictability I would say. preliminary verdict: they are very
good at things they are good at and like to be kept warm. no need to
panic in the wet.
test1 (day1):
-------------
right after mounting them I took a short ride and headed to my benchmark
place. which is a four leaf clover shaped set of interstate ramps. no
big traffic, good pavement, relatively safe. and you can ride it
infinitely :-). the major minus is that is right turn only. my cars
start to give a squeaky noise around 45-50MPH. I was able to do 50MPH on
PRs without pushing the envelope. Now 16s are doing very well at 55MPH.
Speeds are obviously not very accurate. the felling between is.
however when returning to home on the second to last turn, the rear
skidded badly. never happened on PRs.
