I have just returned from Detroit/Windsor and Red Bull Air Race. What
they can do is just unbelievable:

They pull almost 10g during the race. I wonder what g-forces are typical
for e.g. MotoGP.

the last several years with many many videos on LiveVideo and YouTube....my
question to you is this for all you long time riders, when was the first
time you ever saw someone doing this? Filming rides and discussing topics
while riding a motorcycle....and yes I realize stuffing a camera in your
helmet isn't the safest or smartest thing in the world to do :)

Just trying to find if people were doing this 5-10 years ago or if this is a
relatively new thing.

Well it's good to see not much as changed here on good ol AMS. Things
are going good here, and they just got better cuz Mom & Dad have RV'd
off to Alaska for the summer and left me the couch-rocket til

It is a 2002 Yamaha V-Star 1100. In case you're wondering if it's as
slow and cumbersome as it looks I say definitely not. It's actually
even slower and porkier than it appears. Still though, a free bike
is a free bike and it might come in handy this summer. I rode it
about 100 miles today taking the long way home. It took a while to
get used to the feeling of vulnerability on the freeway. Not because
I've been off the street for a while but because it has none of the
maneuverability and speed that a sport bike gives you.

So if any NW'ers are doing rides and don't mind a cruiser bringing up
the rear I'm game. Meanwhile I'm still loving the dirt, and have done
two races already this year. I am definitely improving and hope to
graduate from "suck" to "slow" this season.
