  Ducati 1098S in Black(Yeah)

I sold my GSX R1000 about a week ago. Since I wadded my RC51 in July, and
now my Gixxer is gone, I am without a liter bike. I knew I would be
replacing it, but with what. My first mind was the new 2007 GSX R1000.
Latest of the greatest, and even though this will be my street ride, it must
have the potential to be a race bike(a must).

Although the RC51 was a dream bike for me, on the street and on the track,
and never missed a beat, she is 5 year old technology. When I thought I had
my mind made up, and was going to put my deposit down on a 07 gix1k,
somebody told me to read about the Duc 1098. Sheesh, Ducs can't stand up to
the kind of miles I put on a bike, and their service is sky high.

However, I read, read somemore, and couldn't believe what I was reading
about this 1098. So then I went and talked to some dealers, then I read
some more. That was it, couldn't stand it, they made the 1098 for Coleman,
that's all there is to it!! :)

A couple weeks ago, I put a deposit on a 1098S in black. Now, I am just
waiting..Cheaper service rates, more hp, lighter, longer service intervals,
super sexy, and yes, I have already told the dealer that the wheels come off
as soon as it comes in to be powdercoated white..

Happy and safe new years to each and everyone of you,

Didn't you read the part about the door locks? I wouldn't call that an
unnecessary cost.

I had read an article recently that described GM astronomical health care
costs (due largley to retired workers). That article said that these costs
add $1600 to each car. This opinion piece contradicts that notion.

My point was that is popular to blame the Union worker for low quality yet
many of the factors that contribute to high QA are management decisions that
the factory worker has no control over.

Interestingly, my son in law just sold his Kia mini SUV and bought a new
Jeep Compass. Kia could not fix the "check engine light" problem after a
dozen attempts. This little problem made the Kia shift erratically even
while just cruising down the freeway at 60mph.

Hey Mikey...

Should be a good game...see Favre go out in style maybe? Clinch a
wildcard spot? Meaningless to those super Bears though.

Pick out a flag of your choice. eMail with shipping information. Saddle
has my email address.

:-)

"You might blame GM's woes on poor American workmanship or the cost of
American labor. But Japanese total labor costs are comparable, even with
Detroit's higher health insurance costs. Increasingly, Japanese cars are
being assembled in the USA, and the quality holds up just fine.

So what's wrong with GM? The cars. GM is famous for being run by bean
counters and ad men. Toyota is run by engineers."

I found the site for your event...

http://cruise-in.northernstarsrider.ca/index.php

Looks like a cool thing. Looks like they plan to take in the 5A on a ride,
that's a nice stretch.

There is a road you might want to check out if you are in Kamloops and
heading in an Okanagan direction.

It's a great little road with zero traffic, winds its way thru farmlands,
starts just east of Kamloops and pops out just north of Monte Lake, and
gets you off the #1.

Kinda hard to find from the Kamloops side, we use the 1st Petrocan E of
Kamloops as a turnoff, you go thru a residential area for a few blocks, then
turns into this little jewel.

It's in your Destinations Hwys book...

Cheers

P.
