"Albert Hofmann, the pioneering Swiss chemist and advocate of
psychedelics who discovered the hallucinogenic properties of LSD,
died Tuesday. He was 102.
Hofmann reportedly died of a heart attack at his home in Basel,
Switzerland.
Hofmann's most famous discovery happened on April 16, 1943. He was
researching the synthesis of a lysergic acid compound, LSD-25, when
he inadvertently absorbed a bit through his fingertips. Intrigued
by the effect it had on his perception, Hofmann decided further
exploration was warranted. Three days later, on April 19, he
ingested 250 milligrams of LSD, embarking on the first full-fledged
acid trip. That day became known among LSD fans as "bicycle day"
because Hofmann began experiencing the drug's intense effects on
his bicycle trip home from the lab. "

Borrowed from another group. :-)
There is a very, very tall coconut tree and there are 4 animals, a
Lion, a
Chimpanzee, a Giraffe, and a Squirrel, who pass by.
They decide to compete to see who is the fastest to get a banana
off the
tree.
Who do you guess will win?
Your answer will reflect your personality.
So think carefully . . . Try and answer within 30 seconds Got your
answer?
Now scroll down to see the analysis.
If your answer is:
Lion = you're dull.
Chimpanzee = you're a moron.
Giraffe = you're a complete idiot.
Squirrel = you're just hopelessly stupid.
A COCONUT TREE DOESN'T HAVE BANANAS.
Obviously you're stressed and overworked.

The way I understand it is:
Some of us old folks in New Brunswick, Canada cannot figure out why the
Americans are even bothering to hold an election.
On one side, you have a bitch who is a lawyer, married to a lawyer and a
lawyer who is married to a bitch who is a lawyer.
On the other side, you have a true war hero married to a woman with a
huge chest who owns a beer distributorship.
Is there a contest here?

Dear Sir /
Madam
If it would be interesting for you to learn,
1) why the signals of Extraterrestrial Civilizations have not been
still detected (“the Great Silence of Cosmos”) [A.2( see Article 2),
the commentaries – below ];
2) why the electromagnetic waves radiated by our brain and
carrying a definite information (e.g. telepathic) have not been still
detected [A.2];
3) why in the band (of frequencies) much less than 1 hertz one
can transmit information at a speed much more than 1 bit in a second
if one use a so-called “non-linear” (“inversely proportional”)
frequency modulation of signals, and, thus, in the band of only one
working radio station one can easily place – all wireless stations of
the world! [A.2];
4) what kind of signals radiate living creatures which are not
detected with up-to-date physical devices, are protected excellently
from any noises, go through any obstacles, and are received reliably
in any point of the Earth [A.2];

That link will lead you to a free book (8MB size) Its a PDF file of a book
the author agreed to give away free for the downloading....
I have a strong interest in anything solar.... and once again even tho some
of this stuff doesn't work very well in the cold dark days of winter....
Half of the year is summer and you can save a ton of money in the long
run....
Also remember to check out the Aptera at www.aptera.com for your driving
needs.... ;-)

http://www.popularmechanics.com/automotive/new_cars/4237853.html
Heres one of the cars in our future.... right now priced a little high for
the average man or woman but give it time and I think these folks can bring
things along a lot better than the car makers we have to deal with now....
This is an good example of what people who drive to work everyday and do
normal shopping etc can come up with when given the chance....
And its American.... plus the thing is great for touring or long distance
driving for most of the year....
300 mpg for the gas/electric model.... 120 between charges for the full
electric model....
Price?? $26,000 to $29,900 fully loaded....
Think of it.... The next thing is an American built carport where the roof
is solar panels to recharge this thing over night.... Yeah I know what your
going to say.... If I drive the car during the daylight hours how can it
recharge overnight?? So simple.... just like the car.... battery
storage.... during the daylight the carport charges and once the car is
parked battery power is transfered during the night....

The A-Z of tools:
a. DRILL PRESS: A tall upright machine useful for suddenly snatching flat
metal bar stock out of your hands so that it smacks you in the chest and
flings your beer across the room, splattering it against that freshly
painted part you were drying....
b. WIRE WHEEL: Cleans rust off old bolts and then throws them somewhere
across the workbench with the speed of light. Also removes fingerprint
whorls and hard-earned guitar calluses in about the time it takes you to
say "Ouch".
c. ELECTRIC HAND DRILL: Normally used for spinning steel pop rivets in
their holes until you die of old age....
d. PLIERS: Used to round off bolt heads....
e. HACKSAW: One of a family of cutting tools built on the Ouija board
principle. It transforms human energy into a crooked, unpredictable
motion, and the more you attempt to influence its course, the more dismal
your future becomes....
f. VICE-GRIPS: Used to round off bolt heads. If nothing else is available,
they can also be used to transfer intense welding heat to the palm of your
hand....
