I really like this man, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.
I think he should re-write the Jews for Judaism
website because he loves Christianity, and
he talks about Judeo-Christian values, he sees
Jews and Christians as working together, and he
sees Islam as the problem and not Christianity!
My views exactly! What a brilliant man!!
Here is a short extract from his article called
"Would Jesus want to Convert Jews?".
It's positiver rather than condemning. (Jews for
Judaism please note!)
What a brilliant man!... I'm off to read some more of
his stuff....

Those who need scapegoats of any kind are completely lost.

FTR, Emma, the Jews for Judaism organization was established specifically to
combat the deceptive Jews for Jesus. It is not anti-Christianity. It is
anti-Christian missionizing targeted at Jews. As such, it's purpose is to
invalidate the claims that missionaries make in their attempts to convert
Jews to Christianity. Jews for Judaism is not about Islam. And the
organization wasn't designed to be pro-Christianity or anti-Christianity. In
fact, it's authors have stated repeatedly that the site is not about gentile
Christians at all. Its prime directive is to invalidate the claims of
Christian missionaries who are targeting their efforts at Jews. And that's ...

So do I. I thought you'd like him. Now he's
a disciple of the late Lubavitcher Rebbe,
so clearly he's of the far Orthodox wing
(I hate the term "ultra-Orthodox")
of Judaism. Therefore, I will not agree
with him on details of Jewish practise,
and in other places where he's not caught
up with the modern world. His statements
on evolution are, to be charitable,
woefully uninformed! His dispute
with Dawkins is filled with over-the-top
unjustified negativism (and to be fair,
Dawkins, who has the corresponding
uninhibited flamboyancy from the
atheist side, bears at least an equal
share of the blame in this one).

Not any more. The Kingdom of G-D was transplanted to the Holy Roman
Empire and its successors, some of them good and some of them bad.
Jesus is letting karma take its toll. No more nails in the holy hands.

All the reasons you hate Jews for Jesus are arguments I would use in support
of Jews for Jesus. It is good to be a "well-oiled machine." It is good to
spend dollars in evangelizing the world with the message of Jesus.
And how on earth can a Christian missionary organization be a "huge threat?"
Amazing. You'd think the "huge threat" would be a nuclear buildup, global
warming, or an in-coming meteor! ;)

"But don't go overboard. Fundamentalist Islam,
and especially Fundamentalist Islam that
has control of governments, is what
he targets as a major problem, not
Islam as a whole. I think
that he would have the same horror at
a Randy-style fundamentalist Christianity
getting ahold of governments. The difference
is that, thankfully, Randy's point of view
is still marginal, though increasingly more
vocal over here, while Islamic Fundamentalist
states are a horrifying present reality..."

It does seem that the man has a good spirit. That alone is to be commended.
However, I think we can always "disagree agreeably." His opposition to the
idea of Christian missionizing is wrong-headed. Jesus did not confine his
gospel to Judaism, as the man assumed (and I'm not sure he's qualified to
teach Christian theology).

Yes, we all know that you and your clergymen believe it is a good thing to
convert people to your idolatrous Greek religion by any means possible,
including deception. And your pastor and his wife model the deceptive
approach to a tee.

We see those horrors directly in your posts
in the thread of "idolatrous liberalism".
