Linda Lee, in her anti-Paul zeal, is unable and unwilling to address
scripture that destroys her assertions. To whit:
Acts 2:1-4
2:1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and
filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be
tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of
them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as
the Spirit enabled them.
The Holy Spirit filled all at this house during the day of Pentecost.
Acts 4:8-10
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit , said to them: "Rulers and elders
of the people! 9 If we are being called to account today for an act of
kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, 10 then know
this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this
man stands before you healed.
The Holy Spirit filled Peter.

No, the Holy Scriptures names many people of whom the Holy Spirit filled and
the Holy Spirit NEVER filled unbelievers nor false apostles.

How Old Do Evolutionists Say the Universe Is? 4
Evolutionists can undoubtedly resolve these time contradictionsโbut at
the cost of rejecting some cherished belief. Perhaps they will accept
the possibility that light traveled much faster in the past.
Measurements exist which support this revolutionary idea. Maybe they
will conclude that the big bang never occurred, or that heavy elements
were somehow in the first and only generation of stars, or that stars
degrade, but new stars donโt evolve. Much evidence supports each of
these ideas, and all are consistent with a recent creation.
Few evolutionists are aware of these contradictions. However, as more
powerful telescopes begin peering even farther into space, these
problems will worsen and more attention will be focused on them. If
scientists find, as one might expect, even more distant stars and
galaxies with heavy elements, problems with the claimed age of the
universe will no longer be the secret of a few evolutionists (9).

I've read through the more recent posts on that thread, and earlier I did
read your original statement and Roger's response. I dismiss "Pastor Dave"
outright because he is too "intense" to discuss things with. So much of his
comments consist of emotional outbursts, and long expositions about his own
self-righteousness. So let me just deal with your mention of Sol Invictus,
Constantine, and Christmas.
Not having spent any real time studying the issues, I would have to
instantly defer to Roger Pearse. I've read his posts for some time, and have
visited his web page. The guy is an exemplary Christian...
