Corey, well, I think that in my case, there have been several
interacting underlying factors which contributed to the long-standing
Raynaud's symptoms. But the injury to the radial nerve, affecting the
wrist and hand, and the physical therapy which followed, is what
really focused my attention on the importance of both warming and
strengthening my hands. Even a regular exercise program can often
ignore hand and wrist fitness, and mine are very small.

Besides ultrasound and other special forms of mild electrical therapy
designed especially to increase circulation, stimulate nerves, relax
muscles, etc., I received massage, heat treatments, in which the hand
and forearm were sandwiched in between these bags feeled with hot
water and towels, and later, hand exercises. Most of these were
stretches to improve the flexor muscles on the top of the hand and
wrists, like placing the palm on a flat surface with the wrist bent
while trying to lift the fingers up high as possible. After there were
initial improvements in this area, I also needed to do extension
(grasping exercises) due to limited activity of the hand while in the
radial glove. Some utilized a few of the same hand devices used to
regain strength during rehabilitation after many type of hand
injuries, as well as by martial artists, etc., such as hand grips,
balls that are squeezed with the palm of the hand, and some of these
can be found at sporting good stores and sometimes even in department
stores like Target. If you Google hand exercises or similar
combinations, you will probably see some of these things under sponsor
results with a description so you know what you're getting.

Anyway, it was after all this, that I began to notice that the nails
on the injured hand were starting to have slightly more color and less
ridges than on the other one and it became evident to me that the heat
and exercises must have also improved the circulation, and hence,
delivery of nutrients into the hand. Speaking of which, nutrition is
also very important. I'd also had frequent problems with mild anemia
which didn't respond to a typical multi-vitamin with iron. After
research, I discovered that many of my symptoms were typical of a B
vitamin deficiency (some people absorb nutrients better than others,
also needs vary among individuals). After taking a high-quality liquid
B complex formula for a few weeks, I gradually began to feel a little
warmer all over.

Also, another thing to look into is acupressure. Any points which
deliver additional chi to the arm, hands or wrist, such a pressure
points listed for carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, and even
arthritis will increase oxygen to the tissues. On a related note,
something else I like to do (especially after massaging my hands first
with an oil or lotion) is put the fingertips of my hands together
lightly, and then pull them apart slightly until I can actually feel
the slight tingling and tug of the electromagnetic field just
surrounding the fingertips. You can also run your fingertips along
each hand and try to detect the field that way. It really seems to
increase energy flow when focus your attention there.

And finally, if you like to create your own rituals, and are
interested in planetary magick at all, I would recommend a focus on
Mercury and the Sun, mercurial and solar gods/esses, and Archangels
like Raphael and Michael.

Psychology is another area that deserves mention. Many people with
cold extremities have an extremely hyper-active autonomic nervous
system which may even be due to genetic reasons. It's like the fight
or flight system overacts subconsciously which can eventually sabotage
the physical self's own bests. Sometimes just being aware of this
tendency can help you consciously relax, especially through cognitive
therapy.

In any case, good luck, and I hope some of this proves helpful.
