Yes, and I don't have the answer either...not sure anybody does. Our
weapons race is kinda like when King Tut's father tried to go to a
monotheistic system but commerce was based on the opposite. I've never
found proof positive that he was murdered but it stands to reason that he
was and it is documented that Tut was murdered as soon as he restored the
former state.
As soon as someone gets into office (and not just in the US) who wants to
break down the world weapons compost...their life politically or physically
becomes imperilled.
It seems very curious how the whole war over oil transpires and I wonder if
war isn't a cover for several environmental issues. Seems we (in the very
beginning) used up a lot of crap that was beyond or at the edge of its
shelf-life and since then we've had to step up the production lines. And,
once its been around for long enough that everyone knows about it...we sell
it off and come up with new, bigger, better, more deadly and usually more
expensive weapons.
