I have a question. What in the hell are you talking about when you say
"knowledge in magic means more power and info"?

You don't know the realm you've entered to. Stay a simple Wiccan, avoid occult, magick, and any attempt at Adeptship

Good advice. People often told me - pick a path and stick to it. As
I didn't, and now never will I have no idea why they told me that, but
people who do stick to one path seem happier and more stable people.
It's all relative of course. Being happy in the attic when the house
is burning is one way. The bugger who thinks they can chuck water on
the flames is another. And then... there's those that get burnt while
wondering 'what is the fire, what is the house?' Rarer still are the
people who look for the fucking matches.

Bad day - relatively speaking.

Hmm.. Funny story. I was at a neo-pagan meeting. The topic was
Christianity. I mentioned that the Christians themselves have more
than one "god": God himself and the Devil. The neo-pagans themselves
started defending Christianity saying "No, no no. God is just God.
The Devil's not a god".
