WTF, indeed.... jak Oh...duh.  I checked the date.  It's KD's annual pronunciation Rant Lite...two months early. You just can't eckscape its draw--perhaps if you were an athelete...

Mike, Good to hear from you! Well, I've been playing the piece since about 1976, and have never been challenged on my pronunciation. I think I even recall Eubie using the rendering I put forth in his NPR Radio series. I'd grant your point if Eubie was the only one to have used the word.
