My friend Elissa works as a teacher and counselor at an
emotional-growth school in Montana. She says that the school policy is
to defuse student romances by reminding the students of whatever
relationships their parents had in order to get them to that school.
My response: People have choice over what to do, and whatever the
accident of training or background it becomes possible for people to do
right deliberately out of their own values and choice.
And it is in this ability to do things proactively and directly that is
the saving grace of humanity, and its potential for liberation from
tyranny of all kinds.
Without the volitional consciousness, the people become dragged down to
the status of animals. Being an animal may seem appealing, until the
animal tribe does what the animal tribes do best and starts plucking
out the distinct. The animalistic drive for racial purity takes over,
until the tribe turns into a Nazi horde. In femi-fascism and
psycho-fascism, the goal has been to destroy the people that they
believe to be wrongly made. Beside the horrendous human rights
violations, what happens is still more sinister:

It's sad to see how "emotional growth schools" actually impede emotional
growth by discouraging close and meaningful relationships between peers.
Your "friend" should admit to herself that her role is not appreciably
different from that of a prison guard.
While it is true that children arising from dysfunctional homes carry with
them the seeds of that dysfunction, no good is accomplished by trying to
replace one dysfunction with another by encouraging emotional isolation
while ignoring the opportunity to teach healthy relationships.

The "you" you speak of is not alt.magick, it's Ilya Shambat.

Ilya likes to spam all sorts of groups with his idiotic, simplistic,
mysogynistic opinions about women, relationships and the world in
general. He's obviously in a lot of pain, but his rants haven't
changed much in the past couple (or more?) years, so it doesn't seem as
though he actually wants to ease his pain and have a happier, healthier
life. Some people prefer to be angry I guess.
(I will trim everything but alt.magick from the headers in any future
post to this thread.)
