If you want to consider your karma, your karma is what put you in your
particular situation of life, the random acts you are experiencing now
are just part of the area that you have chosen to live in at this time.
any negative karma would actually have been generated by the perps, and
your own actions to handle the situation will determine if you yourself
will generate any negative karma.

Right. Unlike sin, you can have "good" karma, "bad" karma, or--no karma
at all (which is the goal of some disciples of Buddhism and Yoga).

Karma is action; and the storehouse of good a bad actions one has
performed over many lifetimes. Karma is what ultimately binds us to
the material plane.
