Holly Black has a pooka character in her Spiderwick Chronicles books.
It sort of reminded me of the Chesire Cat- all smiles and trickery. I
believe Peter S. Beagle has a pooka in his book Tamisin as well! ;)
It's neat to see all the different interpretations there are out there.
