Despite what you might have illusions about to the contrary, people
are generally treated as commodities on planet Earth these days.
Children are generally owned by people and can be done with as those
people see fit.
I'm not agreeing with this, I'm just stating the blatantly obvious.
Now christians and others may purport not to harm their children
(though like everybody else, they do. how can immature children 30-50
years old take genuine care of young ones unless they've been around
before?), yet indoctrination with dogmas of any sort instead of well
inculcation of decent sense, lots of play, and natural intelligence
exploration, will do enormous amounts of psychological scarring
(though not necessarily obvious) that can be utilized to manipulate
them into making sets of pre-approved decisions in the future.
The Pagans had a pretty au naturale system, the Christians created new
concepts about personalities and open heartedness, the Moslems created
concepts of social equity, and then politics came in and fucked it all
up.
