Every time we see on the news all these pedophiles, and they're
all connected to religion in some way. The father of all
pedophiles of course being Mohammed, the prophet of Islam who
married a 6 year old when he was 51 and had sex with her at age 9.
Then you have all these mormon cults with their young virgins
prancing about, tempting the old men and the men are not supposed
to notice? Well, don't worry, in mormonism they do notice, and
have a billion prepubescent wives all following you around and
what not... Then you've got your Catholic priests... I mean the
list goes on and on and on... any one else see the connection?

Well, for one thing, the cases you see on the news are only the most
sanitary and controversial of the incidents. Fit to print, as it were.
Further, they are the most sensational from a social interest point of view,
such as when a supposedly trustworthy or glamorous figure is exposed. This
would include religious, educational, or political figures, as well as the
occasional pop star.
The vast majority of pedophile activity is tawdry, revolting, and ugly, not
at all like the cases you see on TV, which are merely shocking and
salacious. People don't want to know about it in detail on the nightly
news. Most would prefer not to know about it at all. So, if you are
relying on the public news broadcasts, you are getting a very skewed picture
of the situation.

apparently there is for all the examples i mentioned. They praise
muhammed constantly. They glorify the mormon pedos. They glorify
the catholic priests. Everyone eats the stuff up.

bottom line the common thread appears to be religion. i bet even
the cases that get no media attention probably have their roots in
religion. we just don't have the facts, but i have a strong
suspicion that's the case, given all these other popular cases are
tied together by religion...

As I explained to you, if the case involves some controversial aspects or
involves some celebrity, it may get reported for its sensartional quality.
Without the sensational quality, people don't want to know the details.
