Today was just as interesting. I was just sitting outside in my yard,
and a real humming bird came by to drink from my flowers. He was like
a little spirit, moving in between dreams and creation. I got up
early and hit the gym for about a half hour, then went downtown. I
didn't see Chappelle today, but I did make a friend. I started
talking with a guy from Clifton who was a pastor in his 60's. I
didn't find out that he was a pastor or that he was in his 60s until
after we went for a jog together in the woods. He looked like he was
in his 40's. On our walk we found a whole heap of garbage, and I
outran him through the woods. I got a good workout & brought some
trashbaags to pick it back up. Had a talk with a botanist who was
also in the glen picking up garbage, and explained some of the mistrys
to him of how the garbage kept appearing in the woods. He was a real
nice old man too, but a little paranoid. Then I went to see a friend
working at the juice bar, and ordered some "Pimp Juice". The stuff
costs $5.75 for them to make you a fresh glass of vegtable & fruit
juice. Poor girl in there sitting next to me had a black eye and a
fat cigarette burn on her hand. Other than that I just kind of sat
around in the sun, working on my tan. But I really appreciated the
simple pleasure of being free and living in such a beautiful town on
such a beautiful day. I really want a job, but for now it is kind of
nice not having one, nor having any friends to pester me about their
lives. Only real eventful thing to happen today is to get a call from
a guy I know who is back in the mental hospital today. Such a sad
story. Suffering really bothers me, because I keep looking around and
everyone I see doesn't notice the same beauty and perfection that I
see. I know life doesn't last forever, but I just wish people would
appreciate and remember to find the good in life. If we just take all
our lives for granted we won't ever be happy. When you find the
strength to perservere through hard times, then no one can take away
all the fond memories of what you used to have.
