There are a number of different spellings for newbie.
Noob. (derogatory)
Newb. (derogatory)
N00b. (l33t speak)
Newbie (actual classification of someone new to something)
Nuby. (can be derogatory, can be friendly)

Some more are used, but for now, this will suffice.
