Forecasters, prognosticators and soothsayers, hear ye.
I'm going to make you an offer.
A prediction for a prediction.
You post to alt.magick a prediction for me for the next 12 months.
Name a figure between $10 and $80.
I'll predict a horse in Friday's races (tomorrow), put on a small bet
and try to win the amount you've named (approximatively). Obviously,
your more far more likely to get a $10 amount than $80. However, there
are no guarantees. You might get $10 - 80 or you might get nothing!
To keep everything nice and open, I'll post the bet I've made to meet
your amount before the race.
This offer applies to the first half dozen predictions, one per
poster.
Predictions must be posted to this thread before 10 AM GMT 18th April
2008.
*It's all in fun, but your post must include the following:*
* How you made the prediction (e.g. GD by Wang in Celtic spread)
*Why you did it that way

Do I get to use a racing form to analyze the horse's breeding, age,
track, trainer, jockey, history and weather conditions, or does this
have to be purely based on divination? ;)
Not that I know anything about the British racing scene anyway...

Sorry, I think I've been unclear (hence all the posts).
The detailed prediction is for myself, or alt.magick if your using
astrology. Just for fun, but we'll try to pick up general tips.
The second prediction, as detailed as you want to make it, was the
amount you want me to win. I was then going to try to pick what I
thought were the most likely bet(s) at appropriate odds to get that
amount and wager about $4.
However, if you or anyone else, wants to predict a horse directly even
better!
If you want to study form, to aid divination, then maybe the 2.40?
