As far as the Internet is concerned it most certainly is...you'd have
to be a raving retard to even begin to think otherwise...support of
alpha transparent video, scripting that's 50 times faster than
Javascript, support of alpha transparent PNG and 32 bit JPEG files,
support of the On2 VP6 video codec that achieves even better
compression than any build of Xvid I've ever seen whilst retaining FAR
better color quality, easily scriptable fluid animation capabilities,
along with On2 it also has built in support for MP3 encoded audio,
because if its nature it is also fully cross browser compatible, what
it looks like in one browser is EXACTLY the way it will look in
another (provided said browser has the plugin...and most browsers
either already come with it or it auto-installs the plug-in the second
you visit a site that needs it), not to mention the fact that you can
directly access PHP files and send and receive variables back and
forth allowing for database connectivity amongst other possibilities.
It also supports a variety of text forms and allows you to use your
own custom fonts which are embedded into the Flash file itself
ensuring that ALL users will be able to see it as you intend it to be
seen. In addition to that it also has partial integrated support of
various HTML tags. Ability to use fully custom cursors, scroll bars,
audio/video players...the possibilities and range of what you can do
with Flash are only limited by a lack of 3D rendering capability...and
I'm bettin they top even that by the time Flash X is put out.

...on the other hand though...there's not exactly a lot of prefab
template crap out there that can let retards like yourself do this
sort of stuff "out of the box", it requires a TRUE level of skill and
understanding, which snitwits like you simply do not posses.
>There are so many professional-level packages for doing all kinds of
>things that have been ported to Linux and sold for thousands of dollars.

Why pay thousands of dollars for halfass rip offs when you can get the
real thing for far cheaper, with better support and less hassle via
Windows?

Again, retards LIKE YOU don't comprehend WHAT you should be using
Linux for. I mean, you don't see me tryin to run WinNT for my fuckin
web server, do you? Of course not, cause that'd be fuckin retarded.
Why try and do what can already be done better on Linux with less
hassle? Only the most dribbling of clusterfucks, LIKE YOU, limit
themselves to only a SINGLE operating system. The idea is to use the
best OS for whatever particular job you're trying to get done.
KNOWING which jobs work best on which operating systems is the sign of
a TRUE expert in the field...anything less than that is simply
tweenage muppet fuck posturing bullshit. Yer raving stupidity and
religious inspired obsession with trying to be non-conformist may
serve you well if you're tryin to impress yer great aunt Mildred or
the school kiddies on teh playground that you hang with...but in
froups like A26...that shit is just gonna get yer dumbass pounded the
fuck into the wall in six or eight different directions.

Kid, you don't even COMPREHEND what Flash is. And you're so fucking
stupid you probably don't even realize just how far its reach is. I
actually have MORE clients for STAND ALONE FLASH APPLICATIONS than I
do clients who want Flash websites. From the pretty graphic interface
that yer bank ATM uses, to the one Wal*Mart uses for their photo
kiosks, to the new touch screen displays that you see in yer
supermarket or the ones they're using in fast food joints to take yer
order, to the menus that your DVDs use...Flash is EVERYWHERE...yer
just too much of a n00b and too gawd damn ignorant to even realize it.

Like I said earlier, people who try and use Linux as a development
platform are like the Amish of the Internet...they simply don't know
any better. I'm sure they take a lot of pride in the little wooden
houses they build...but if'n you was in an earthquake...well I'd much
rather be in a structurally sound modern piece of architecture
specifically designed by expert engineers to withstand the vibrations
of an 8 point...you...you can go hide in yer fuckin bard and pray to
yer Linux God that it all doesn't come down on top of you (which it
invariably will).
>I'm not KNOCKING Linux as a desktop platform. I'm not KNOCKING Flash as

It's not that it "sucks" it's just not the right kind of platform to
be developing that sort of stuff on. Again, it'd be like using
Windows for a web server...why in the fuck would you even CONSIDER
doing that? It simply makes no sense...just like developing Flash and
viewing Flash content (ie using it as a desktop platform) makes NO
SENSE on Linux. It isn't about which is better, it's about knowing
which is the right tool for the job. You need both the hammer AND the
screwdriver...it's just the peeps like you don't seem to have enough
intelligence to realize the difference between the two tools.
