Electronic Voice Phenomena

I've had many experiences with spirits over the years but these recent
ones are quite extraordinary to say the least. In recent months I had
noticed a spirit manifesting in various ways, mainly attempting to talk
to me. On one occasion I had a small mini fan making the usual buzzing
sounds when the buzzing started to fluctuate and I could make out words
and sentences within the buzzing. Another time the same happened with my
vacuum cleaner. Friday night it happened with a friends aquarium pump I
was cleaning. On Saturday it started to happen with my hard drive.

I had attempted some Electron Voice Phenomena (EVP) (
http://www.aaevp.com/ ) recordings earlier in the week by placing a
recorder next to my speakers that were on full volume (with nothing
playing) so there was a hissing white noise coming through them. I
managed to get some half-decent recordings but it was pretty faint,
although you can just about hear my name being called on numerous
occasions. I'll add a link to those later as they're nowhere near as
clear as the next ones.

Interesting, and I''m wondering how you are processing the sounds.
I've been working on a system using video. I generate the white noise
by sooting the camera at the television while it is recording itself.
I haven't got the sytem to recorded good feedback yet, but I get a few
seconds of sub par stuff. I have to add a little candle flame to spark
the events. & then I take the recording on to the computer & first
scan it for images. After that I convert it to a sound file using
wav2bmp. & I'be also found another program called bin2bmp, which
converts files universally to images and doesn't chop off the headers.
But wav2bmp is better for evp since it converts tha data from images to
sound in a pure form, and back again.

Let me know if you want a copy, and tell me what your doing to find
the sounds in the static.

All I am doing is recording using a microcassette next to my computer
with the case off, then recording to wav from the microcassette speaker
using a PC mic and goldwave.

I'm not sure I am following you, wouldn't it be easier just to do normal
EVP recordings or have you found any unusual patterns doing what you are
doing?

So has anyone listened to these mp3's yet and if so can you make out any
of the words?

I can't make anything out of it, I'm afraid.

Hmmm ok, some seem to hear something and others not. To make things
easier I have made short clips from where I think there is something
being said and uploaded them. The two I have uploaded are where I hear
what sounds like "I'm not your mother" and one that might be something
like "Oh you think I'm wonderful, fuck off" (I originally thought it
said "Oh you think I'm Londoner, fuck off" but on further listening
using these short clips a few times I think it sounds more like the now
amended quote).

Some people perceive patterns where there are none and others fail to
perceive patterns that do exist. I wonder which of these two possibilities
is more likely in this case.

Sounds like random hard drive noise to me. If I try, I can hear the
words, but then again, I think I could make myself hear a lot of other
things in there if I tried.

and one that might be something
