I was a satanist for a few years, and they don't have nukes. they
have A) teenage members that whine about rival cults, B) suburban
soccer-mom members who've settled on taking of the suburb since world
domination would be too much work and C) kooky artist members.

Sometimes I suspect this whole satanist conspiracy thing is itself a
conspiracy, an ongoing ruse perpetrated by professional paranoia
merchants (and amateurs!) to sell books and anti-satanist force fields
and whatnot. most religions DO engage in a good deal of conspiring,
many even get together for this very purpose on a regular basis! even
SubGeniuses have been known to conspire on occasion, breathing the
same air for unseemly lengths of time.

What's wrong with that? Reading the old testament, God is an evil, vile
bastard that is prone to temper tantrums and fits of great rage. The
Christian lord is immoral and unworthy of worship. Satan saw this, and
tried to overthrow God. God won, disfigured Satan, and threw him into the
pit of fire.
God does not love you, he tolerates you so long as you boost his ego
through worship. Once you question him, even for a second, he turns his
back upon you, often times directly causing your death to get revenge.
Satan, on the other hand, loves you for who you are rather then what he
wants you to be.
Step out of the light, and into the everlasting love of the darkness.
