There are more things in this heaven and earth, Horatio than your
philosophy.... or something like that. :)

Seems to me you followed a hunch. Nothing wrong essentially in
following a hunch. It's just when we try and explain those hunches to
ourselves, or come up with explanations and we don't really have a
clue whether they are correct or not... and then we get a little too
complacent with them, that the folks here start to wave red flags and
scream 'nutter, nutter!' :)

Don't let it bother you, especially as you're new here. ;)
