Hey Becky, cheers. We just moved to the Carolinas a few months ago,
and we have a lot more lizards here than we did back in MD, although
it's only 300 mi. further south. One of the neighborhood cats brought
me as a tribute the biggest skink I've ever seen a few weeks back.
I've seen blue striped too, as well as the chameleons. No red stripes
yet.

And our backyard is full of bee moths, you ever seen those? Moths
cleverly designed to look like bumble bees? I think they might be the
only moth that can hover, too. I'd only seen them in books until
now. And last summer I found what I used to call giant ants when I
was little, but I think are a variety of wingless wasp. Look like
inch-long, red, fuzzy ants that run really, really fast and I think
they sting. Haven't seen one for over 30 yrs. til '07.

Hope if you are spending much time alone I hope you enjoy your
solitude. Sounds pretty great. You got dewberries there like we used
to in Louisiana? Much like raspberries. Or is that just a Louisiana
name for them?

Anyway I've emptied my little brain for the moment. Y'all have a good
one. --tad
