I don't think that any cover was used... I was thinking that maybe
the truck wasn't even there in that last continuous shot before the
vanish, that the truck was digitally "painted" or composited into the
scene, and that maybe the guy standing on the fender was actually
standing on something like a pipe frame or something else to simulate
him standing on the truck. Then it was knocked flat on the ground and
digitally painted out.
The trick would be a reverse thinking in that instead of having to
vanish it, the truck was never even there to start with.
BUT, when I look closely at the shadows on the guy to the right, you
can see the light change as he runs out of the shadow of the truck
cab, or maybe it was just his partner's shadow - it's hard to tell.
OR, maybe they only used a cardboard cutout of the cab part only, and
the rest of truck was digitally painted in. A smaller piece of cutout
would be easier to conceal (flat on the ground) than a cutout of the
full truck. But the glare and reflections from the glass and chrome
are too real... they don't look like a cutout.
I don't know, I'm just trying to think outside of normal methods...

I was watching the shadows closely... they didn't move while the
curtain was up...
and the genii towers holding the curtain are rocking slightly, meaning
that they couldn't count on them as a fixed frame of reference to
super-impose only the area between them...
which is why I think the truck was filmed in place earlier, the guys
were merely pretending it was there...
Then as they lowered the curtain the previously filmed footage of the
truck (and it's shadows) was replaced by the footage without the
truck... it's possible... but I don't know...
Maybe Tyler (with his editing background) could look at this and give
us his thoughts on it...

When I talked about edit I was meaning exactly what you said QED...I
didn't mean cuts but a photo of the truck pre-recorder added in a
second time or the contrary (a photo of the place without truck added
in a second time)

Read carefully what I wrote. I'm 100%% sure the truck wasn't driving
back because of the time. That is why I said there have to be a cover
or editing. I mentioned the comp editing but once is edited you can do
whatever you want so the illusion is worthless. It is good only for
tv. Now it can't be a cardboard either because of the shadows. The
shadows on both sides goes to the truck way when disappear. If there
is a Cardboard then the shadows would come and disappear the way where
the guys are.
Hey Fabio those guys are Italians. Why don'y you just ask them? They
might help you then you can tell us.
