The dime in the tin box and rubber bands in the pocket??????? please tell..;-)

Hi I am hoping I posted in the right group, but something is driving
me really crazy,
does anyone of a magic trick with a coin, ???

You mark your coin and then hand it to the person performing the
trick, and they put it in their pocket for just a few seconds, when
they pull this little tin box from their pocket it has tons of tightly
wrapped rubber bands around it (too tight to slip your marked coin
into it) so when you unwrap this little box, there is your marked
coin...

Does anyone know this trick?
a relative really has me stumped!!!

Please tell me how he does it, I know it must be something simple, but
I cant figure it out???
there is no way that there is ''another'' marked coin because you can
mark it with 'anything' you want and he doesnt even 'have' to see the
mark...but your coin IS in the tin box totaly wrapped in rubber
bands...how??????????????????????????????/ LOL..

thanks thanks..;-)

....Nope sorry the trick is not that easy, the box is really *really*
wrapped tight with the rubber bands...you have a really hard time
opening it to get your coin out, plus it is in a baggie and then in
the tin box and then wrapped with the bands...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Hey, sure am glad you find me interesting...study me more, you will
find wayyyyyyyyyyy more from where that comes from!!! LOL...

X-No-Archive: Yes

Your right, that solution sounds way too easy. That sounds like a
tough trick to figure out. I have an idea where you might be able to
find an answer.

If you log on to themagiccafe.com, they have some of the best in the
business. They are thoughtful, open-minded, tolerant, and
understanding. If you post your question about a magic secret they
will be happy to answer.

Just one warning, they try to trip newbies up with giving a false
answer. If you disagree with EVERYTHING everyone says before deciding
on an answer you will get their respect quickly. If you tell then
they are wrong they will compete with each other to give you the right
answer.

Any personal problems, please post it in -this- news group. There are
more qualified people here than any real group. I see you live in VA,
we have a pastor in this group that lives by you named bill page that
offers great advice. He is also single.

The reason for the sarcasm is that this group consists mostly of magicians
and magicians don't give away the secrets to their tricks. Maybe you've
heard?

Having said that, it is a little confusing that the name of the group has
the word "secrets" in it and yet discussing secrets is frowned upon. There
is a FAQ that tries to explain this away, but it's...

That's a fairly easy one. Generally there is a bag inside the
rubberbanded box. The bag inside has some sort of tie or ruberband
around it to keep the top closed. The box then has rubberbands around
it ti keep it tight. The key to it is that when the whole setup is in
the pocket, there is a small "shoe horn" type device that is in the
bag and comes out the side of the box. You slide the coin in the
"shoe horn" which guides it into the box and bag. After it slides in,
just pull the "shoe horn" out and the rubberband closes around the bag
and the box shuts tight. Keep the device in your pocket, while
pulling out just the sealed up box with the signed coin.

Nice little trick and usually only around $10 or so and nobody ever
figures it out.
