Just wanted to put this post out there since the only trick discussed
on this forum was the matchbox mentalism... Please feel free to fill
in the blanks, and/or correct my own hobbyist theories. I'm new to
this so i apologize in advance for any n00biness on my part. I'm just
a enthusiast who loves trying to figure out tricks. Look fwd to any
corrections or insights. peace.

Phenomenon 2nd Episode: The one where Criss throws down!

Quick Trick #1: Card Down the Blouse
Looks like he used a plant/accomplice (only red dress in entire
audience). Esp. since he didn't use the celebrities and used that
girl
from the "audience" instad. At no time does a card ever "slip" into
her blouse when he riffles the cards at her.

Quick Trick #2: Moving Sunglasses
You can see a thread attached to the legs of the glasses going to his
right hand, which is why he has the celebrities put their hands OVER
his.

Quick Trick #3: Mind Body Connection
Can't tell if she is a plant, but it sure looks like it. If you watch
carefully, he actually X's the shoulder area of the silouette ahead
of
time. If she isn't a plant, then my best guess is that he has a piece
of graphite on the underside of his ring and marks it as he flips the
card over.

Quick Trick #4: Revolving Credit
Just by watching his fingers and his swinging movements carefully, it
seems that he just has a rubberband-like thread attached to this
right
hand and switches it around to his other hand cuz u can see his
fingers wiggling out of the thread. it also seems the card's path is
dictated from a thread weaving then unweaving.

Quick Trick #5: Elvis
No idea other than perhaps the suggestive idea of "dead singer"
statistically conjures up Elvis. Similar to how the majority of
people
picked the Star in Uri Gellar's trick from the first episode.

Quick Trick #6: Exploding Earring
Doesn't look like she's even tapping that hammer very hard. It's
obviously a prop trick, but i can't explain the exact mechanism of
the
earring.

Quick Trick #7: 3 Flowers and a Lady
My guess is that there's a note on all 3 flowers, and as she removes
the 2 flowers NOT picked, you notice how he positions his left hand
gripping the vase that the flower stems slide through his hands. This
is when he strips off the notes of the 2 flowers NOT picked.

Quick Trick #8: Pick a number b/w 1-100
My guess is that he has ink on his thumbs. He never actually writes
any number behind his back. By the way he grips the pad, when the
celebrity reveals the number, looks like he quickly marks the number
with his thumbs even has turns the pad around to show the audience.

Quick Trick #9: Parallel Universes
Not sure how he got the 3 of Spades she was thinking of (Help here?),
perhaps some type of prep, but the deck aplitting and the card coming
out was obviously a thread atttached to the 3 of spades in the middle
of the deck.

Quick Trick #10: Bending Coin
I believe there's a switch on the coin, and the original coin is
placed in his pocket along with the pen while his prop coin is used
instead. The "R" initial is irrelevant since he probably knew which
celebrity he was going to use for the trick and could have written
that on his prop coin ahead of time.

Uri Gellar Solar System
This is simple Math. After your first pick, you always land on Earth
no matter what. this is based on the number of letters of each planet
arranged in a particular way to always lead you to Earth after the
first pick. The rest is just leading you to which ever planet he
needs
to.

Feature Trick #1: Tattoo Prediction: Shandi Draws a Ying Yang
wow. not sure at all how this was done other than what he claims,
which is the power of suggestion (YingYang nighttable, "Yingfluence",
"Yanger", circle suggestions).

Feature Trick #2: Knife Roulette
Hmm, similar to the Nail Gun Roulette, i believe since the only metal
object is the knife, that there must be some sort of magnetism
involved so that she knows which contains the knife. Another
failsafe
could be that she marked the paper or the base holding the knife
(since she initially chose which cylinder to place the knife in), and
lastly it looks like the tops of the cylinder are plastic, which
would
give some protection in case she chose wrong.

Feature Trick #3: Heart Stopper
Criss Angel did a similar trick, but other than a rigged heart
monitor, some type of electrical interference from an outside source,
and a false pulse installed on his arm, i'm not entirely sure how
this
is done. I did notice however that his starting heartrate was pretty
steady and consistent at 60bpm even on stage in front of an audience
and TV. Also, when he supposedly "died", only his head went limp, not
his back.

Feature Trick #4: Match box Pendulum
Mitch Leary and Art from this forum already talked about this one:
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.magic.secrets/browse_thread/thread...

Feature Trick #5: Paranormal Raymond
I actually agree with Criss and found this trick quite comical. This
guy definitely did not sell his act and was way over the top. In
terms
of the "magic", we just have to take the guy's word for it from a
prerecorded video that the object was "privately" selected without
his
knowledge, even though there is no proof of that on stage OR on
video.
There is nothing to prove to the audience that the magician didn't
just place the car in the box himself, lock it, and just put on an
elaborate stage show and write "metal, rectangle, 4 wheels" in mirror
reverse. i found Criss calling him out on live tv quite amusing, and
apparently from reading some forums, this magician had asked for it
by
posting comments and boasts on MagicCafe.

Feature Trick #6: Murder Mystery
My guess is that an offstage assistant wrote all the predictions on
the scroll while the audience picked them out. Then the scroll was
loaded into the stem of the rolling table that was brought out later.
Notice that the table was not there during the entire process until
the box was to be lowered. You'll notice he needs to place the box
just-so on the table, probably to align the mechanism that loads the
box fom underneath. You'll see that before unlocking the box, the
magician briefly uses his hand to activate some mechanism that you
can
hear, which only SOUNDS like a lock snapping open. I believe this is
where the scroll is injected into the chest from the table. He then
asks the celebrity to take a step back to block the view inside the
box, and by the motion of his arm, you can see he is quickly loading
the plastic tube (which has a quick feed cap) with the scroll before
taking it out and putting on the show of unscrewing the cap. As far
as
the time being inked on the audiences' hands, well, that was
obviously
done preshow and the number 3:13 was pre-arranged with the celebrity.
