Andrw, have you ever seen a movie called "Invasion of the Body
Snatchers"?
I keep thinkin' about how that doctor kept tryin' to warn people about
what was happenin', and how some didn't want to reconsider what they
believed even when confronted with first-hand evidence--that would have
caused them some discomfort, doncha know. Besides, nothin' had happened
to *them*, so they turned a blind eye. So blind, that they never saw
when they were changed. And, soon the whole town was fillin' with people
who thought the same thoughts--not *their own* thoughts, of course, but
only those of a controller.
How borin' is that, huh? Imagine how much knowledge they then missed out
on because the the controller discounted DIFFERENT ideas. If someone
tried to say, "Hey! That isn't right! Everyone has a right to speak!",
the people were instructed to to believe that that person was crazy.
And, they did--just like *that*.
*Most* interestin' movie. It ain't really about Pod People, doncha know,
it's about situations where a manipulator could not have taken control
of a group without the help of the people he is manipulating--people who
don't even see (or want to see) what's happened because then they'd have
to face their own responsibility. And, so, they help stomp down any
dissenting voice who waves the TRUTH in their face, all while they agree
with the controller that it's for the best of the group--don't rock the
boat, and all. Anyway, I thought about it when I read this exchange
about Ray Haddad:

Sad, really. I certainly hope you haven't been lured into emailin' Ray
Haddad about anything you wouldn't like to have exposed to the group
should you fall out of favor.

facts of misinterpret the truth. If you can prove it
to me, go ahead. All it will do is make me realize that
Ray can be a jerk sometimes. And you know what?

Eric H.: "You're right, and read on..

people that are jerks all the time."
Eric H.: "I guess the first time he tells you that you expose
magic (assuming you think that exposure isn't the best
thing in the world) and he refuses to apologize to you,
his friend, that you'll still feel this way?
"That's right, told me, when I was supposedly his
friend, that I *expose* magic and didn't he remotely
take it back until recently but there was no *apology*
for starting shit with me in the first place...that's a
total outright jerk. If I call you something that you
are not, are you going to hold a grudge against me? I
hope so..I encourage it. [...]"
RJ : "Ray, I agree with just as much as I agree with
anyone else, because he has never done anything
even close to un-proper to me."
Eric H.: "Only a matter of time apparently."
RJ : "He always has been kind to me, and that is what
determines my opinion of him."
