Leary's Assorted Nasties for Magicians

The following are "impact explosive" mixtures. A creative magician
could incorporate these into his stage magic.

ARMSTRONG'S MIXTURE

This mixture is probably the most important of all the impact
explosives. It is the ultimate "non-fuse" firework mixture. It is
made in a wet slurry in SMALL AMOUNTS. The potassium chlorate is
added last right before it is used. Armstrong's mixture is as follows:

-Potassium Chlorate 67 parts

-Sulfur 3 parts

-Red Phosphorus 27 parts

-Calcium Carbonate 3 parts

EXPLODING TARGET COMPOSIION

You know those exploding targets you can buy at the gun shop? This is
their composition:

-Potassium Chlorate (fine powder) 40 parts

-Sulfur Flour (fine powder) 40 parts

-Silica Sand (40-60 mesh powder 20 parts

-Dextrin (powdered) 5 parts

-Magnesium Carbonate (fine powder) 2 parts

And one of the most unstable. It can maim you. People have lost fingers, etc.
