I see the basketcase password incident happening early in the
film. From that point on the movie is about a mass killer who calls
himself basketcase and always leaves a calling card with his name on
it. The cops are intrigued with the name, but can't get anywhere
cluewise. The only one who might have a clue is the girl who called
him a basketcase before bolting from his apartment. But she hasn't
been seen or heard from since.

You must not be claustrophobic. I could not live in a place that
didn't have at least one window.
