The deaf, dumb, and blind biofuel cultists have yet another heavy
issue to explain away!
A new study says corn ethanol biofuel production will cause a 10 to 34
percent increase in nitrogen pollution in the Mississippi and
Atchafalaya Rivers due to fertilizer run-off, thus increasing the size
of the "DEAD ZONE" in the Gulf of Mexico.

I take it you failed to read the article and look at the references.
Nothing short of 100%% biofuel will do anything to alter the oil / fuel crisis.

Wrong - a combination of several biofuels AND increased conservation
from highe mileage vehicles will do plenty.

Farmers downstream won't have to buy fertilizer. It's a win-win.

All of the biofuel schemes are dead ends, and that includes algae.
They all take way too much land and they all do way too much
environmental damage.
We have two choices.
1) Develop and use oil from American shale and hope the global
warming predictions are wrong.
OR
2) Use nuclear energy to produce either hydrogen gas or synthetic
fuels made from CO2 sucked right out of the atmosphere. Those are the
two choices, as solar, wind, tidal, etc., will never provide more than
20%% of our energy demands.

"Hi-Test" as you say, along with other petroleum based fuels, are what need
to be eliminated. Were it not for the oil barons, the entire planet would be
running some 80%% on alternative energy sources by now. Money by way
of corporate profits from the rapage of American's pocketbooks, has now
purchased the corrupt US government while complacent people sleep.
