Industry Publishing Location United States - New York - New York Requisition # 102607BR Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description Time Direct Ventures, the multi-title subscription marketing arm within Time Consumer Marketing Inc., has developed extraordinarily successful sales models within the school fundraising market. Subscriptions from this effort will exceed 1.5 million TI net new in calendar 2008. TDV partners with several of the major supplier/distributors in direct relationships, as well as the largest product supplier (Giftco, Inc.) to independent distributors serving the Elementary school product fundraising marketplace. In addition the TDV partnership with Great American Opportunities (GAO) provides new entrée to the Middle School market with a magazine "school-plan" program as well as several other initiatives that span all levels of school fundraising (Elementary, Middle and High School.) GAO plans in 2008 call for significant growth through acquisition which will provide TDV with several new business opportunities. As a result TDV is well situated with a dominant position throughout the entire school fundraising marketplace. This position offers an exciting opportunity to help manage the GAO account while working within a team that will be responsible for client services, creative development and fulfillment processing for all TDV school fundraising. Position Description: Account Executive Responsibilities Working closely with the Vice President, Fundraising Partnerships and reporting to the senior Marketing Manager, this position will be responsible for maintaining a pro-active client services relationship with the GAO account which will represent approximately 30%% of TDV fundraising production. This exciting challenge requires the abilities typically attributed to an Account Executive including strong marketing, creative, written and interpersonal skills as well as a keen financial acumen. Marketing and Operational Responsibilities Responsibilities extend beyond a traditional Account Executive role to include marketing development for the several GAO initiatives. These include: ? Comparative analysis of seasonal results with recommendations for sales growth within each program ? Orchestrating the creative process with the client and with other TDV support staff. ? Managing offer detail within the "Agency System" to insure optimal fulfillment processing for GAO orders ? Assist in development of fulfillment "spec memos" to insure optimal fulfillment processing for TDV voucher orders ? Providing ongoing sales forecasts ? Managing budgeted sales and expense forecasts Creative Development Responsibilities Coordinating creative brochure development is a key role involving day to day management of the creative process including: 1. Assist in providing day to day instruction / coordination with in-house and /or outside creative entities to help develop more than 80 pieces annually. 2. Manage the Creative Master Schedule - an ongoing "bible" of all TDV creative plans 3. Coordinate the proofing process for all creative pieces. Position Requirements The ideal candidate will have at least three years professional experience with a marketing/client services focus in package goods or publishing; specific fundraising or partnership experience a plus. The individual must have keen creative instincts and the ability to prioritize. Strong oral communication skills and a polished writing ability are important to the client services role. Extensive analytical and quantitative (especially with Excel) skills are critical.
