Description Position reports to Marketing Strategy Director, Strategic Marketing, N.A. Credit Cards. Position Summary Responsible for the development of corporate and product brand strategies, leading to the creation of integrated marketing initiatives and programs such as advertising, direct marketing and product development. Assist with branding initiatives and marketing plans to drive business performance and increase brand value. Responsibilities * Partner with multiple Product Management teams to drive strategic initiatives in multiple assigned lines of business * Strategic thought leader in the end-to-end strategic planning which includes business development, product launches, market entry strategies, etc. * Provide strategic points-of-view on marketing programs, new product development, brand extensions and other business issues based on marketing best practices, relevant research, and potential impact on Citi Credit Card business priorities. * Oversee execution of and assist with marketing programs, new product launches, direct mail, online and advertising. * Synthesize competitive, product and customer data to support marketing initiatives and recommendations. * Train Product Managers in how to provide effective creative feedback to agencies, brand strategy, integration of the Cards communication platform and advertising efforts. * Work across channels including direct (e.g., mail), online, direct response, TV and print. * Lead the development of best in class marketing communications. * Involves strategic consultation and oversight from campaign inception through completion. Includes: project brief feedback, agency assignment, necessity of program and/or idea generation on alternate solutions, project estimates (PAF’s) from assigned agency, creative strategy input and approval, concept feedback and overall management of agency process. * Drive integration of Cards brand platform and consistency across all marketing platforms and products. * Build productive relationships across the organization including interacting with business leaders and agencies across all levels, including seniors. * Manage direct marketing agencies: * Conflict resolution between agencies and businesses. * Drive improved communication between agencies and businesses. * Financial management including reviewing and approving project level fee estimates, and ensuring projects are part of approved annual scope of work.
Specifications / Qualifications Skills and Experience * Bachelor’s degree. * 5-10 years experience in marketing and/or advertising, including at an agency. * Knowledge of branding, brand positioning, strategic and creative development, and marketing across various channels. * Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment and develop strong, productive, collaborative relationships internally at Citi and externally with agencies. * Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects and get up to speed on new projects quickly. * Excellent written, verbal and inter-personal skills including persuasion and influence. * Highly motivated and proactive with polished communication and problem solving, conflict resolution skills.
