Looking for recommendations and experiences on Front Load Washers and
Dryers.

We are considering GE, Samsung, and LG, but would consider others.

Any models that you would recommend we steer away from?

The motor on my old top load washing machine has stopped working (but pump
still works) and I've found the clutch (plus 3 washers and a nut) have
fallen on the floor underneath. Can anyone advise on its reassembly? A
diagram would be great but maybe that's hoping for too much!! Model 15790.

I'm attempting to repair the washer (won't spin), but if that doesn't work,
then I'll need to get a new one. I want at least the same capacity I have
now, but I don't know what that is. I can find my parts list, but not the
manual. If anyone has this model and can tell me the cubic foot capacity I'd
be grateful. I've hit all the online sites with no luck. Sears was less than
useless.

Two problems:
The timer stops incrementing and restarts when door is unlocked/locked.
The bloody thing will not drain.
It's 4.5 years old and I wonder if it is worth the effort to repair.

I have a KitchenAid fridge with in the door ice and water. There are two
problems, one the ice maker doesn't work most of the time. I hadn't worked
for about 4 or 5 months and just started working this past weekend. It ran
three cycles of ice and then stopped again. I have read that lots of people
have had problems with this ice maker. The red light inside of the freezer
blinks twice then pauses and then twice again.

The second problem is that the water in the door comes out very slowly. It
takes a good amount of time to fill up a glass. It is more than a trickle
but it is slow.

I was wondering if my whole problem is that the valve in the bottom of the
refrigerator is not opening enough.

Something else that I have noticed is that the part of the fridge that
separates the refrigerator from the freezer is hot to the touch.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi all,

After much web searching I have obtained a replacement oven bottom element
assembly for our Bosch (HBN6450GB/02).

This comes with no instructions of course, so to be doubly sure I had the
connections right, I checked the voltages of the leads before doing the
final hooking it up.

There are two rings of the element assembly, marked with different voltages:
250V for the outer, and 75V for the inner. But when I check the leads
themselves (very carefully!) I only find 250V available.

Anyone have more info to explain this before I hook it all back up finally?

Ideally, can anyone point me at a circuit diagram.
(Typical how one can find any number of service manuals with complex circuit
diags for cars: but, apparently, b' all for a basic thing like the kitchen
cooker!)
