And though most of us have *several* backups of different types and
stored in different locations, many people (who have never
experienced a HD failure) don't. It's one of those hard lessons you
learn by experience.

But he DID have a backup, it was NOT connected, it was NOT Dell
equipment, and the Dell tech had no business even touching it, much
less formatting the external HD.

Period.

And I add the above as a disclaimer of sorts, because I just KNOW
some asswipe is going to come along and make this into a discussion
of backups, and miss the point entirely.

update on da eye

outlook... ok

still havnt had a MRI yet..
however..
i still see the flash. but. its not as bad.
hopeuflly, by the time the MRI comes around.. it will
have healed?itself.

\I will keep you up to date.. it still hurts to look at
the computer screen for more than a few minutes.
