Wow, I didn't know Steven King was a monster fingerstyle jazz player.
Check it out ;-)

  Guaranteed Filter Test

1. Take a few days / week to file all ______'s.

2. Lift lid, toss in an agitation grenade (any inflammatory post aimed
at ______'s will do). Replace Lid.

3. Silence? Filter and seal are beautifully intact.

4. Any noise? "Plonk", whatever squeezed out from the explosion.

5. Repeat as often as you feel like it. It grinds the contents into even
finer fertilizer. Any fresh toss-backs from #4 help to refine the
Hell File contents logarithmically.

Abusenet!

  New Stick

Wow, is Chapman making an acoustic stick? I checked their website and don't
see one listed . Sounds really nice and this
guy is good.
I will say though, if you are considering a stick better find one to mess
with because they are hardest thing in the world to play. I had one for 2
years and finally sold it because it was a nightmare. I never could do shit
with it. If I had spent even just a few minutes with a stick I would never
have bought one. Thankfully I got all my money back because they do hold
their value.

  EMG's are here

Picked em up this morning from the local post office. Sans input jack:-(
Never mind bought one on the way to work for $2 to get me going. I can't
wait to get home and warm the iron.

I had to listen to "A momentary lapse of Reason" on the way to work. Ye
fricken ha, I'm enthused. Yet another case of GAS satisfied;-)

Even happier I didn't pay $850 for them. Oh, and they are the 2 wire
version as well, dated 1998. Not that that makes faf all of difference.

Gibson Gibson Les Paul Special DC / P-90

Two questions...

- How are those faded-finish Les Paul Special Double-cutaway guitars? I
have a line on a beat-up one for few $s, and I'd love to have a P-90
equipped guitar (in memory of the beloved '67 SG Jr. that I had in high
school.) Can they be OK, or are they categorically horrible?

- How are modern Gibson P-90 pickup? Can they compare to those made in
the '60s like the one on my old guitar? How do they compare to the
repros made by Duncan, Dimarzio, and others?

Broken trem arm - How can I remove the broken piece?

Author: RichCI

I'm sure one of you guys must have had this problem with a Strat at
one time or another. The arm snapped on my Strat and the broken
pieces is still threaded down inside the trem block. Any advice on
how to remove it so I can buy just another arm rather than replacing
the block as well?

Thanks!

  Is less more?

Can you relate:

When recording, has any of you experienced that a solo that you thought
sounded okay when played didn't sound that well when played back. I almost
always realise that I play way too many complicated figures and didn't have
the timing that I thought and that less certainly is more ;-)
