Ok - you know I am not some shill for some company.
I was just doing a search around the internet for some 10 inch
speakers and I came across these.
Genuine Fender parts - Fender 10 inch Alnico speaker
and they are only $59. If they are any good then that's a steal.
Most decent Alnico's are at least 3 times that price (at least the
ones I have seen). So this might be a great deal for someone out there.
Once again - I am not a shill - just passing along the info for anyone
that might need a set of 10 inch Alnicos
http://www.angela.com/catalog/speakers/guitar.html
that's the place I found them at (while looking for some other
parts I wanted to get).
yeah - maybe this post should go into the amps group but
it's like nearly everything there in amps group is OT or fighting or
flaming each other or whatever - anything but amps related.
Anyways - I like it here in alt.guitar.

I quit my job. Gave my resignation last week and final day is the 20th. It
was a great job but it was costing me my health. I was waking up every
morning dry heaving adn spending the day in a state of total almost nervous
breakdown. I had to completely give up anything guitar related. Family
related. It wasnt worth my health. They were paying me 58,000 per year. But
I had to decide, was the money worth the health issues. I think not. Some of
you here helped me decide as well.

I was clearing the logs in my kill files and noticed that some waddling,
loud typing fool in Denver (and the usual other cranial vacuums) have
been propagating their hay8r m.o. w/ daily posts, evidently boasting w/
some sort of daily count, re;
"Feds" not "showing up".
The software just shows a couple words, who made the post when, then
deletes it.
Of _course_ no one will "show up" - they don't *need* to...their job is
to *SECRET* ly make sure that certain phuctards can't get near the
people they're charged to protect. OY.
Now if it's _days_ these phuctarded hay8rz need to obsess over --
Let's see- today is May 10, 2008...the Democratic convention begins,
September 1 and lasts until the 4th. As far as Denver,CO is concerned
the few days leading up to and including the convention are...[HP 12C
bond amortization business calculator sez]...114 days and the convention
is under way.*
No one w/ the USSS will *bother* to dignify some hole-in-the-wall amp
shop on Broadway w/ a visit, -but if anything were to happen to a
candidate,...well,...Got flame phuctardant?

Ha ha- I filtered 25 Hay8r Cretins from this ng alone. They can type
general hay8red and direct slander, lies, accusations, etc. my way until
their worm-like brain parasites start in on optic nerves...

Well we finally got in all of our new stuff and are finally ready to put it
all together and I had a few questions for any of the seasoned (or not)
giggers out there. None of us in the band have much experience setting this
shit up because either we've been in bands that had a sound man or were not
the ones to configure it all. We are playing mostly small venues 25-50
people with a few medium sized venues 50-100+ lined up but nothing bigger
than that (at least for 2008). We are not looking to take over the world or
take down the rafters wherever we play..
BTW, I understand about RTFM! Just looking for some "real world" advice
here.

I haven't had a chance to pick up a guitar all wee (slammed at work),
so late last night I figured I'd throw together a couple more ToneLab
demos. Like the first one, I just used a canned drum loop from my
Mixcraft DAW, and teh TOneLab presets were used without any editing or
modification. Again, I used my workhorse LP copy (DiMarzio SD/bridge,
PAF/neck). No bass.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=564392&content=music
TL2 (mellow):
Center: "CLN-EDGE" preset; neck PAF pickup, coil tap on.
Right: "NASHVILLE" preset; middle pickup position, coil tap on.
Left: "SKYNYRD" preset; bridge SD pickup, coil tap OFF.
T3: (metal):
Left: "VULGAR" preset
Right: "SABBATH" preset
(bridge SD/coil tap off for both; I'm tooling on a minor variation of
Maiden's "2 minutes" riff here)
As always, at 2 AM after a long week...ignore the ham-fisted playing;
for demonstration purposes only!!

YOUR TAX REBATE
The federal government is sending each and every one of us a $600 rebate.
If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China . If we spend
it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs. If we purchase a computer it will go
to India . If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico ,
Honduras , and Guatemala . If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan .
If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan None of it will help the
American economy. The only way to keep that money here at home is to buy
prostitutes, weed, beer, and tattoos,
since these are the only products still produced in the USA .
Thank you for your help & please support the US
