Which song by Fripp is it? The link isn't working.

Finally, here's the chorus of Day-O. We are going to cheat a little here
by lowering the melody an octave, compared to the verse, so it's easier
to play.
Again, we're just playing D and A chords, emphasising the melody notes
within the chords or adding the melody note to the chord.
D
e--2---
B--3---<---- melody note (D)
G--2---
D--0---
A--0---
E------
"Day-"
D

It's the ones with the F#mbb5 at the 16th fret.

Just a fuzz box and a powerful tube amp and skill then. Thanks.

I have pudgy finger tips and was wondering if it is possible to
replace the fretboard with a wider one or can you just replace the
nut.
Any advice would be apreciated.

Richie Valens songs use CAFG chords EAB can be used for country
songs like Folsum Prison. Bending strings helps also to see if its gonna
go out of tune. It doesnt take but a few minutes of
playing a used guitar or new for that matter to find the faults in the
guitar assuming you can tune it to around 440 and are using an amp that
is adjusted to your taste in sound. An Amp has lots to do with how an
electric guitar sounds. el pintada kid

Playing chords doesn't do much for a stress test. I'll sit for a while
and do string bends up and down the neck - that'll give a hint as to
how it's going to stay in tune and will also help you find any dodgey
frets.
