Hard To Find Jimmie Rodgers tab

Author:
Date: Jul 8, 2008 15:36

I love the old-timey music of Jimmie Rodgers, and I have bought several
collections of this songs. I cannot for the life of me find "Somewhere Down
Along The Mason Dixon Line." This is a great old song which was included on
the 1997 (?) tribute cd. It was done on the cd by Mary Chapin Carpenter.
Does anyone here know (or can figure out) the chord progression? (I've
never been particularly good at figuring out progessions, expecially for
those old timey songs.

There are four types of 3rds: dim, min, maj, and aug. There are only
three types of 4ths or fifths: dim, perfect, and aug. A major interval
when inverted is minor and vice versa. Perfect intevals are perfect when
inverted. Maj and min is necessary to describe 3rds and sixths, but not
5ths or 4ths.

Every major key has the single dim fifth on its 7th degree. daveA

  'beginners stuff' riffs

Author: andydgg

I have been playing around with these kind of riffs for some time

For example,

John Sykes playing Cold Sweat with Thin Lizzy is he playing all single
notes
on A and D strings ...CDDCDDFFG CDDCDDGGF

Ted Nugent Cat ScratchFever single notes on A string CDD#D#CDCD#
CDD#D#D#D#DC

What effects are these guys using to get the sounds? What
ornamentations are
they adding ie any two note chords?

been trying to post through teranews but not showing...so apologies if
this is a multipost

Auction: Huge Collection of Vintage Fingerstyle Tab/Song Books

Author: elgrans

Since I'm no longer playing guitar (and no longer even have a
guitar!), I figured it was time to clean out my collection of vintage
('70s, '80s, & '90s) fingerstyle acoustic guitar tablature books/
songbooks and pass them on to someone who can use them. I just listed
44 books on eBay (7-day auctions, ending June 14, 2008), and invite
all to check them out and see if there's anything you need or want.
Almost all are in excellent condition, a few have included CDs, and
many are out-of-print. Music styles include country, blues, ragtime,
Celtic, and folk...no punk, hard rock, pop, heavy metal, etc.!

Click the following link to view the complete list of the auction
items:

Thanks for your time and consideration. Feel free to contact me with
any questions or comments.
