What's my amp worth? Trying to find out..

Author: ridergroov

Hi folks. I'm trying to find out what my amp is worth if I was going
to sell it. It is a Vox AC15 with 1x12" speaker. The serial starts
with 1999 and that sounds about right as to when I bought it. Speaker
has a bulldog on it. Don't think it is a celestion. Would love some
info. Thanks!

Anyone interested in a speaker swap?

I've got a Celestion G12H 16-ohm speaker that has had virtually no
usage whatsoever. I had two of them in an extension cabinet for my JBL
E-130-equipped Sundown combo, and other than an initial low-volume
test, never even bothered using it.

Just picked up a Crate B18-112, planning to put my Celestion into it,
but I need an 8-ohm, rather than a 16 for that application. I figured
I'd put out a feeler and see if anyone might be interested in a swap.
(I'd REALLY prefer to avoid shipping, so, for the time being, I'm
reaching out to folks around Scranton, PA, Binghamton, NY, the
Sullivan County (NY), the Poconos, etc.

Actually, I have TWO G12Hs, however, I accidentally ran a screwdriver
through the cone of one of them while mounting it. It's been patched
with a flexible silicone adhesive (the hole isn't on the area that
moves, and it sounds fine), so if you want both we could probably work
something out, or else just take the good one.

email if interested.

  schematic for a Triamp MKII

I need a schematic for a Triamp MKII. I'm working on one for a
customer. The DC heaters are dead, it had beer spilled in it. I have
a very extensive (1000's) library of schematics so of coarse I will
trade.

I feel like destroying a Marshall today.

So I had this crazy idea. Buy a crappy amp for the meanwhile (or not)
and --gut-- my marshall TSL 122.

I was thinking of making a 2x12 cab (or two 1x12's), and then
converting the head to a low-watt head project like that AX84 P1 thing
I read about or something else. I have some decent electronics
experience - I consistently ace (100%%) electronics courses in
highschool and college, so I could probably handle building my own amp
head. Something in the 1-5 watt range I think.

So yeah, I took a look at those AX84 P1 things, and um, hmm, I
couldn't find any instructions. Seriously, for a 1st time builder, I
was looking for something a little more in-depth than the builder's
guide. Maybe I just need to look at it again, but, hmm, I'd like to
know if there's any other recommended kits.
