  Head Cabinet Question

Author: Onten Productions

Lots of cool amp info in this NG and I just found it today. Anyway, I
bought a ceriatone OT Special and I need to build a cabinet for it.
I've got an place to buy wood and a guy who can do the spline or dove
tail if I want. BUT I was wondering if any of you kats have a source
for plans for head cabs. The OT Special is a knobs at the top Fender
style rather than the knobs at the bottom Marshall style. Most of you
probably know that already but I thought I'd add it.

Thanks
O

  LOUD buzzing - Marshall VS100R

Author: grasshopa

Hi,
I've tried posting this on guitar amp forums but no luck so far. Hope
I have it in the right section here.

I have a Marshall amp (VS100), which has one tube in the preamp.

There is a LOUD buzzing noise from it that only started the last day.
Even when no guitar is plugged in and the volume is turned down to 0.

Could this just be a tube that needs replacing?
If not, is it definitely a problem with the power amp and not the
preamp? Considering the volume is turned down to zero (volume controls
preamp doesn't it???).

Schematic here: http://www.schematicheaven.com/marshallamps/vs100r_100w.pdf

Thanks for any help you can offer

  Learn to Play Guitar Software

Author: rchheuoabixw

When learning to play the guitar, it is always beneficial to look at
various methods that enhance different aspects of your playing. Guitar
software is one of those methods. Even if you are taking lessons from
a private, professional instructor, it might be a good idea to also
find other ways that will help you practice on your own and on your
own time.
Various types of interactive and multi-media centered software for the
guitar can be found online. Using Google, Yahoo!, or MSN, you'll be
able to find different packages, course, and lessons online. Software
may or may not be a program that you download on your Mac or PC. It
may or may not be interactive. And, it may or may not be in written
form. In other words, guitar software encompasses any product that is
purchased online that helps increase your overall guitar-playing
skills in some method, besides the traditional, classic one.
A software package might contain an e-book, videos, audios, tablature,
or other multimedia methods for learning. Some e-books are interactive
and might even have you view a multimedia file within its pages.
You'll have to have some type of media player installed on your
computer, such as Windows Media Player or Apple's QuickTime, but the
file might show you a live rendition of what is being taught. This ...
