The poster boy for military recruitment, Pat Tillman, didn't died in
Afghanistan charging up a hill like a comic book Sgt Rock. He didn't
pull the pin on a grenade and toss it in a sniper's nest to save his
buddies lives either.
This is not our Grandfather's war, folks, and Pat Tillman is no Audy
Murphy.
Pat Tillman died a senselessly and ignoble death when he was fragged
by his own men.
Shot in the back from less than 10 feet away.
All Pat Tillman wanted out of this war was a chest full of metals and
a heroes parade in Times Square. Apparently his men didn't want any
"Gung Ho" shit from some aging football hero in the middle of a
pointless war and killed him. Simple as that.
Some thing had to give and ~some one~ (wink, wink) had to go......
His men made the fatal decision that Tillman made a better "dead war
hero" than a live one.
Poster Boy War Heroes need not apply for this war.
CUT THE FUNDING AND BRING OUR TROOPS HOME!!!!!

Then how do you explain the three *ENTRANCE* wounds in his forehead?
Did his men have bullets that could turn 180 degrees?

Gee, do you think (I realize I'm dealing with a liberal so that's probably
not possible) that maybe, just maybe, during the firefight Tillman stood up
to return fire or to run to another position and he unfortunately got shot
because he got into the line of fire of the guy behind him? That,
unfortunately, has happened many times in war and also in police work.
You really need to find out ALL of the facts before jumping to a half-assed
conclusion and embarassing yourself.

and if it happened to you, do you think "they" would cover up a simple
mistake with such vigor?
