on other thread (Usenet) discussion of rights vested Constitutionally or not...

"All law is based upon supporting, and upholding the rights granted to
us under the Constitution."

This is what most people you discuss this issue with believe. I
disagree strongly with the latter part of that sentence. The rights
and privileges "granted" by the Constitution are only reaffirmations
of vested, owned rights. You are born with them, regardless of place
or nation of birth. The rights outlined in the Constitution aren't
copyrighted by Americans. And regardless of your spiritual and ethical
beliefs about how we all got here, the fact remains that in order to
uphold the ideals outlined in the Constitution of the united States of
America (proper form of address-sp. included) you must agree that
these rights are universally applied and thus, one of the foundations
of this nation being that of being open to all comers.

Anyway, that's my 2cts.

A schoolteacher's son brought his report card home. The father said; let's
see what you have accomplished. He opens the report and to his dismay sees
all bad grades. What do you have to say about this Johnny? Well dad at lease
you know I'm not cheating.

Barack Throws His Ailing Grandmother Under the Bus to Score Political Points

"I can no more disown [Rev. Wright] than I can disown the black community. I
can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother - a woman who helped
raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves
me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once
confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on
more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me
cringe."

Senator Barack Obama
A More Perfect Union Speech
March 18, 2008

Barack Obama threw his ailing grandmother who raised him under the bus
today.
Obama equated her with the racist anti-Semitic "G-Damning America" preacher
he chose for himself and his family- Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, a bank vice president, and grandfather,
Stanley Dunham, a salesman, lived in a two-bedroom apartment in downtown
Honolulu and helped raise their grandson along with his white mother until
he graduated from high school. (Washington Post)
