If you give a bad guy a dirt nap for a while but wash him up and
schlep him out periodically, does he wear any better?

60 Minutes Caves to Pressure from White House on Siegelman Story

Tell A Friend

Well folks, seems that 60 Minutes is postponing (read "killing") its
Siegelman story. The excuse I am told for this lapse in ethics is that
the network needs more time to vet the whistle-blower, Dana Jill
Simpson. You see, the reason the network suddenly needs more time to
vet Simpson is that the White House has launched a direct campaign
inside CBS to discredit her and just to make sure the dirt sticks,
they have called in some favors too. I am told that Senator Jeff
Sessions has been instructed to help the White House discredit Simpson
as part of his "Senatorial" duties. Nice system of government we have
here, eh?

we were attending a summer long rainbow gathering on mt. shasta's
squaw meadow in northern california, before there was trails to get
there. its at about 8,500 feet, though one can drive about to 7,000
feet then hike about 2 hours to the other side where we were or camp
where parking is. all i knew was that a guru was lecturing & the
fellow going had spent a year in a buddhist monestary after being in
the vietnam war, & was an extremely happy man, just radiated a happy
feeling where ever he went & was adored by everyone whom loved to hear
his zen stories. & he asked if anyone wanted to go with him.

Case of Beer Buckled in But Not Baby
http://www.wjxx.com/news/strange/news-article.aspx?storyid=101574

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL -- Investigators say a woman accused of drunk
driving had a case of beer buckled up safely, and a one year old girl
sitting in the backseat without a seatbelt or car seat.

On Super Bowl Sunday, a deputy saw a car drive through a red light and
swerve back and forth over the center lane on U.S. 1 South.

The deputy stopped the car.

Investigators say the woman, who identified herself as Tina Williams,
smelled of alcohol.

According to the report, Williams told the deputy she never had a
license and was running out of gas.

The deputy saw a case of Busch beer in the front seat with a seat belt
around it, and a baby girl in the backseat.

When asked why the girl wasn't restrained, Williams reportedly told
the officer, "I don't know."
