Good day today -
My 69.89 warlock was able to jump into Dire Maul after a 5 man (warrior,
priest, warlock x3) did the dreadsteed quest and turn it in - finally.
He also made it to the Altar of Shadows and created 2x Shadowcloth.
Hit 374 tailoring - still haven't had a failure from the Imbued Netherweave
Tunic/Robe, and 375 will be my orange Frozen Shadoweave Boots.
In the course of running dailies on my rogue for the first time in over a
month, I noticed I finished up with 5001g, so I now have a fast flying
mount as well.
Now, onward to 70 tomorrow... And then mote farming for FSW.

I never worried about macros when doing PvE, instances, raiding... but
now that I'm delving more into PvP, I find there is a great need for
macros to assist in doing things faster... like, so you can kill your
opponent before they kill you while you're trying to find all your
damn trinket/special attack keys.
When I get into a hairy furball with 1 or more melee opponents,
besides my usual melee attacks, I need to fire off my Bladefist's
Breadth trinket, my Abacus of Violent Odds trinket, Slice 'n Dice, and
Blade Flurry... all on different keys scattered about in places that
don't lend themselves to easy simultaneous access. Due to the shortage
of keyboard real estate and the humongous amount of keys that need to
be mapped to the multitude of things your char must do while playing
it, there is no way in hell I'm ever going to be able to put them all
close together. And even if I could, I'll bet there's a simple macro
out there somewhere that will allow me to activate all of them much
quicker, just by rapidly tapping only one key. THAT is what I'm
looking for :-)
Anybody got or know of a macro like that? Or a site that has such
things? Thanks in advance!

Is anyone planning on tossing away Cheat Death or Sinister Calling?
My char is a lvl 67 Nelf rogue, sub-spec. Gear is just standard
greens (mostly bandit stuff) and a few blues. So I have no
resiliance.
I am thinking about moving my Cheat Death points into Master of
Subtlety or Enveloping Shadows. I still want the 5%% on hemmorage,
which is what I primarily use.
Can anyone offer insight on whether this is a good idea or not?

I have been thinking of starting a new hunter and conteplated his role
in things. I was thinking of trying something completly new for me, a
melee hunter. I know its been done before (like the 70 hunter on the
EU servers that has never fired a range weapon), so it's nothing new.
I will probably use a range weapon though, but I rather focus on
melee. I don't have the amazing gear (right now) that guy has. It's
just seems that the survival tree is fairly unappreciated. I was
thinking of going Sur/BM, sticking with a fast attack pet, and just
dps'ing as much as I can while solo leveling. I just need to pick a
race. I am toggling between Tauren (extra health and slam) or Orc (+5%%
pet dam). Ideas, comments, concerns?

I mean, 2.40 just seemed super-big to me. Easier levelling between 20
and 60, and also changed lots and lots of things.
Obviously 2.00, the expansion patch, counts too. But have there been others?
Or am I exaggerating the magnitude of change in 2.40, relative to other
patches? One thing I noticed, when I resumed playing after 2.40, was
that none of my characters got a free respect by getting their Talent
Points back, but IIRC that happened with 2.00, and for *all* classes. So
that could be one criterion.

Well, the patch downloads, and I get on. I'm
curious to see some of the new stuff, so I
go over the the Tavern in Shatt to look over
the new Haris Pilton collection. She has
some sunglasses, and a bunch of rings. All
pretty and purely vanity items - they have
no stats at all, and are very costly.
The only useful item I see is the epic
'Gigantique' 22-slot bag for 1200g.
A single misclick later, I own one. More
than half my gold is gone. Its resale
value is 10g.
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Port to SW, put it up in the AH at 1100.
Advertise it as discounted in the trade
channel in Shat.

My Blood Elf Mage, fire-specced, just dinged 30 yesterday, and I've
never had a character over 36, so I don't know anything about mounts.
She's the kind of Mage who would wand a fire-damage wand, just because
it's fire, even though it makes a lot more tactical sense for her to use
a wand with a damage type different from her spec,
Also, when she (i.e. I) read in here about a tiny fire elemental vanity
pet, a few days ago, drooling occured.
Given that, what should I look into?

I heard there's now a new quest to do in CoT:Durnholde that involves killing
a new NPC (Don Carlos or something) and taking his hat.
Has anyone found any other new quests that've come with the 2.4.3 patch and
aren't mentioned in the patch notes?

Just for the hell of it, I have been leveling an orcish hunter on
a diffrerent server. I am now level 12 and I have absolutely no
idea on how to allocate my talent points. From what I have read,
BM is the way to go, but any advice on how to fill my points in
for the next 10-20 levels would be appreciated.
I have to say that I have found that the first ten levels on the
hunter (pre pet) to be pretty unpleasant. Melee with a lowbie
weapon truly sucks. Since I have gotten the pet (a boar at the
moment) it has become quite a bit more fun.
Let me make sure I understand the pet taming mechanic. To tame a
pet, you target the one you want, and let it beat on you while you
channel the spell. If your health outlasts the beast, then it is
tamed. Is this the way it works?
