Hey,
I got a 44 frost mage now and I've been wondering how to survive a bit better in BG. I am compairing others close to my own lvl.
Leveling helps of course, but besides that.
Paladins can be trouble with BoF and +15%% speed buff from talents, but I've used to them since I got Ret paladin.
Shamans, well a good shaman is problem. Yesterday not so good shaman used his time to purge me while I spammed my instants and blasted him away with frostbolt.
Warriors, with frost mage not that big of problem. But they sure make a lot of dmg when they get close ;).
Warlocks I can usually out DPS, but dots may finish me off after the warlock is dead.
Druids make pretty good dmg and they got nasty habit of getting away from slow effects (I got a druid aswell).
Mages. Heh. I still haven't used to fighting against a mage :).
Priests hmm. Can be problem, should try and stay away cause their instant fear. I got two lowlvl spriests so gotten pretty used to them.
Hunters. Hmm, haven't got a working solution for them. BM are the worst since I can't poly the "enraged, maniac" pet and it makes incredible dmg while hunter is running away like rabbit. I've tryed to freeze the pet and then blink close to hunter. Too bad my ice wont hold the beast very long. Marksman isn't that hard. Get close to hunter at melee range, poly the pet and his dmg is minimal. Anybody some good (working) tactics for hunters? even lowlvl BM hunters are pain in the rear section.

I have written a little script to automatically download the latest
omen, install it, and launch Warcraft. You need two things: wget and
my script.
wget: http://users.ugent.be/~bpuype/wget/
My script: http://www.hibbs.me.uk/wow/update_omen.zip
1. Place wget.exe in your World of Warcraft directory
2. Unzip my zip file into your World of Warcraft directory (just
contains unzip.exe (from http://www.info-zip.org/ if you don't trust
my executable) and a very simple Command Prompt script)
3. Right-click on the update_omen.cmd file and "create shortcut"
4. Drag shortcut onto desktop or into your Start menu if you know how
to do that
5. Clickety click!
If you don't use the Launcher, edit the update_omen.cmd file (right-
click, Edit) and change the last line to "start wow".

I got kicked from a group today thanks to some lingual misunderstandings
with an italian GL (he said he was very sorry for booting me after we had
discussed it though). We were past third boss, but hadnt completed the
_heroic_ instance.
So before I enter LFG-chan again; Am I able to enter the same instance with
another group when I havent completed this famous instance?

http://www.syubrawi.com/play-action-games-online,
Gaming, especially playing free games online has made tremendous
progress and is here to stay for a long time to come.
Rapidly replacing most other forms of entertainment such as Televison
and even traditional gaming consoles , it is addictive, cheap and most
importantly FREE.
A recent comScore survey confirmed the impact of internet games is
felt in wider sections of society. They discovered a large percentage
of older gamers - just under 53%% - of them were women. So what's the
draw of these games? First and foremost, they are fun and it is an
opprortunity for the busy Mom to forget dutiesnd get lost in the world
of online gaming. For sure, they are
not interested in anything complicated, just a good brainteaser or
strategy game.

Can someone post the formula for spell haste rating here on this
newgroup instead of just the link to wowwiki... internet policy at
work bans videogame sites like wowwiki and wowhead and I like to
theorycraft during lunch...
thanks!

I found this on my battlegroup forum (Misery EU)
-----------------------------
-----------------------------
"Omg, i would of pwnd him, but his crusader proc-ed twice" -
The reason this is stupid is because that if you we're pwning the person,
you would of still won despite of crusader proc-ing or not.
-----------------------------
"Lets win this" -
Very common, speaks for itself why its a stupid PvP comment...
-----------------------------
"FFS, YOUR ALL NOOBS" -
This is stupid because your just lowering your level by calling people
noobs, plus it doesn't pursuade people to help ya more.
-----------------------------
"Go for all the bases and we win" -
This is a very bad one, because the best tactic (IMO) Is to get 3 bases in
AB and defend them. Going for 5 bases is a gamble and unless your pwning
them inside and out, its not worth trying.

MMO-Champion has stated that at the beginning of the week a bunch of
websites were invited to Blizzard's HQ for a WotLK preview, and that
we should be expecting a lot of new information.
http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=7288.0
Death Knights start at level 55 with a full compliment of skills.
They have a summonable skeletal deathcharger mount. They have the
rune resource system mentioned previously, but they also have a runic
power system that will work kind of like a warriors rage, building up
as they do damage. The runes themselves, once used, will regenerate
after a given amount of time. Death Knights will be the first class
to use disease as a weapon, with some diseases getting stronger
depending on the number of diseases currently afflicting the target.
They will have a death coil like spell, without the fear component.
And they will be able to summon an Army of the Dead, which brings
numerous undead minions to fight for them.
Essentially, they're going to be warlocks in plate with rage and combo
points.

I work away during the week, so use a laptop for WoW on weekdays, and
move back to my main desktop at the weekends.
Obviously doing this involves two different installs of WoW on two
different machines. If I have any major updates to addons i'll copy the
folders across, but its a little annoying to have to do that, so quite
often both the machines are setup differently.
To stop the two machines getting out of sync in terms of addons,
historical data (auctioneer, mobinfo, honorfu, etc...) I was sondering
if anybody runs WoW from an external hard drive, such as an ipod video,
or usb memory stick, and if so how does it work out? Is the USB2
interface quick enough to handle it?
I'll need to swap video settings each time I use it on a different
machine, but I think I can setup a quick macro to switch between the two
resolutions?
Any thoughts?
T.
