I've read some complaints on the official forums that not only is
cheat death nerfed but that it's also bugged. I've certainly noticed
the difference with my level 63 rogue in battlegrounds. Cheat death
procs certainly, but it does nothing that I can notice except for
perhaps stopping the initial blow from killing me. I'm dead pretty
much instantly afterwards though.
Now obviously this is because I have 0 resillience at my level.
However on my 70 druid in battlegrounds I've noticed that nearby
rogues don't seem to get any benefit from cheat death either. I'm
assuming the most of the them are decently geared. I can no longer get
a rogues health back up if they reach under 10%% like I used to.
Previously I had some time while cheat death kept them alive, but now
they die like anyone else.
So I'm guessing it's a pointless talent when you don't have any
resillience, but even when I reach 70 is it even worth taking the
talent anymore? What to take instead?

My 70 palatank dwarf has now two librams. The first one increase the armour
bonus given by devotion aura by 110. The second one increase the damage
dealt by exorcism and another undead-killing spell (god's wrath I think).
I noticed a libram sold by G'eras in Shattrath, for 15 badges of justice.
Is it the only interesting libram at 70? I looked for others, but found
nothing for a palatank.

So I've seen a few notes about the idea that hunter pets will have talent
trees in WotLK rather than the current training system. I'm not quite sure
what the net effect of that will be, since my 26 hunter has been learning
all sorts of skills from various creatures, but I have yet to be able to
train my pet on any of them...
(And the hunter addons that help identify what mobs are worth learning from
are a wonderful thing - FeedOMatic is awfully handy, too.)
I'm now a bit curious to see what will happen first - if the character or
pet will reach a point where I can train something, or if the expansion
will come out, making it a moot point. :)
Or, I'll learn that I'm missing something painfully obvious in the pet
training interface, and feel like an idiot as I train 10 skills in 3
minutes... ;)

I haven't logged on in over a week and now everything has gone back to
default settings. No addons are getting loaded even though they are still
present in the AddOns folder. Also all the game settings have defaulted.
I am running Vista, has there been a patch or something that might have
caused this?

I was setting up wowecon when I noticed realm-names like "Blizzlike
instant 70". This must obviously be a private server. I wonder if the
prices in wowecon takes private server prices into consideration as well
when doing crossrealm-averages?
If it does it is considerably less useful for people playing on legit
realms.

Just saw on wowinsider that vanity pets will be an item you "consume" to
learn as a skill instead of "something" taking up bag-space.
I like it. The only reason I never have pets is because they take up
bagspace unnecessarily. I predict players with pets by their side to be
much more common in the expansion :)

One way they could make crafting more interesting would be to expand
on discoveries. Every time you create a level 70 piece of armour or
weapon item, you get a chance to discover how to make an "of the..."
variant of the item. Each variant could have an additional material
requirement, maybe "of the physician" would need a primal life, "of
fiery wrath" would need a primal fire, "of the champion" would need a
rune of warding, etc. These variants would have to be constrained just
like drops are, so for instance you never get cloth items with
defense, so you'd never discover one. Plate items "of fiery wrath"
would similarly be of limited use.
I can imagine a healadin would like Adamantite Plate Gloves of the
Physician, for instance, and my tank would love a Khorium Belt of
Defense.

Has anyone heard anything about the new inscription crafting skill?
Are they creating new mats, or using existing ones? Is this just
another way to enchant an item (like gem slotting was for TBC)?
I haven't seen much on it other than the name.

Would this work?
As a warlock, travel to a location where there are lots of
green monsters. (i.e. easy to kill but give low XP.)
Set your voidwalker to agressive.
Just walk away from the computer. VW kills things as they spawn around
you. You gain XP. Eventually the creatures turn grey. Move to a new
area and repeat.
