  Did Anyone See

The news Gears2 development video from XBL marketplace? One of the
devs on the game from Epic shows where better lighting, more enemy
density and incredible physics will be part of the game with lots of
destructibles. Some of the physics shown were mind blowing. If it
plays likes that and has more enemies, then it will be a definite
purchase. I am wary, because just about every 360 game that came out
over the past year (except for COD4 and Biohock) that was touted for
having awesome graphics, hardly lived up to them (remember Mass
Effect, Halo3 although it had cool physics in it).

MLB 2K8 - worst baseball game of the last 20 years

2K Sports should be fucking embarrassed with itself. Never saw such a
misguided POS game in my life. Makes me angrier at Microsoft for
bending over for 2K and not releasing a first party baseball game.

Infinity Ward: 1.3 million gamers play CoD4 daily

Author: Tom
Date: Mar 31, 2008 15:23

Update: Infinity Ward's 1.3 million number is referring to the average
number of gamers (not games) that log onto Xbox Live daily to play CoD4.
Apologies for the confusion.

The Xbox Live supremacy mud-slinging gets taken to a new level today with
Infinity Ward comparing how many Xbox Live gamers log in to play games of
Call of Duty 4 versus its rival Halo 3. And let's just say there are
bunches.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Infinity Ward producer Mark Rubin revealed that
nearly 1.3 million gamers games of play CoD4 each and every day via Xbox
Live alone. That gigantic number eclipses Halo 3's gamer base which hovers
around the 1 million mark every day. Rubin also wanted to make sure that we
understood that the 1.3 million number was just gamers who play on the 360
and that "there's even more on the other platforms [PS3 and PC], but we just
don't have the same numbering system. Overall, even without the other
consoles, we are beating the competition."

You hear that Halo 3 fanboys? You better start logging more games, gathering
up your friends and relatives or claim Xbox Live defeat to your CoD4
conquerors. CoD4 has been high atop the Live leaderboards for the past few
months now and has been getting cocky. And rightfully so.

  New Update for COD4?

Author: Tom
Date: Mar 31, 2008 15:11

Anyone have any idea what the new update for COD4 does? I put it in last
night for the first time since getting Vegas 2, and got an update. The last
time I played COD4 before last night, was March 16. It seems the game is
worse than ever now. Some people were complaining about the hit detection
delay last night, while others said it was working fine. Then when another
round started (with essentially the same group), the ones that didn't have
the problem, did have it, while I was doing OK. I killed a guy (though it
didn't look like it) with a grenade, and I got the points literally about 10
seconds later. I also got a headshot, didn't see the guy die, so I ran away
and got the points seconds later. This didn't happen every game, but it
happened enough.

  transferring music to 360

Author: Rene Garcia

I burned some songs on to a dvd and put it in the 360 so I could transfer
them to the hard drive. It was able to see the files and play them which I
wasn't sure if it could, but it didn't give me the option to burn them to
the hard drive.

What do I need to do? Is it because they are on a dvd and not a cd?

But really a hardcore gamer like my friend Scott Hartley has a
Wii,360,PS3,Gamecube,PSP,GB all forms,High end custom PC,etc,etc and
plays just about any and every game imaginable. He even has all of his
video games in alphabetical order. He's the impitomy of hardcore
gamer, verging on the edge of looney videogame madman.
He's a fanboy only of good videogames no matter the system.

Euro 360 pricecut fails to make any impact: PS3 still ahead in Europe..just

Microsoft hoped to pull into the lead, and the failed, following their
recent european price cutting.
Sales surged for the console, but not nearly by enough, and with
Europeans being gaga for Gran Tourismo (1 million pre-orders for
Prologue), the experts predict the PS3 will pull further into the lead
"PS3 and Xbox 360 are pretty much neck and neck at the moment, with
PS3 slightly ahead.".

With Michael Pachter predicting that the 360 will not shift as many
new units as the PS3 during the surge that will be around GTAIV, and
that the 'dlc' wont drive sales of new consoles, rather than uptake of
Xbox Live, things are looking worse than ever for MSs uberkind.

Despite retiling for almost twice as much (360 core sells for £160,
PS3 40gig sells for £299, cheapest 360 Premium is selling online for
£179 and the cheapest PS3 40gig is selling in a catalogue retailer for
£269), and having fewer games (which are often more expensive), the
PS3 is selling more than the 360, even in the UK (which is where this
report was for).
