I just got an Acer Aspire One netbook, and I want to install my
(fully legal - I bought the Battle Chest) copy of Diablo 2 on it,
but the problem is, the netbook has no CD drive.

I was able to get Diablo 2 itself to install with no problem by
copying all the files into one directory on the hard drive, but I
can't get the Expansion disk to upgrade to Lord of Destruction. It
keeps telling me to insert Install disk in CD drive ... but there's
no CD drive to insert it into. Does anyone know how to beat this
problem?

Needless to say, once it's installed, I plan to use the "no CD" hack
to play the game.

My magic find trapassin was tooling around killing stuff and for some
reason I scooped up and IDed a blue glowing orb that fell. Here are the
stats.

o + 3 cold skills
o + 2 fire wall
o + 40 life

I thought, man, if you have a fo/fw sorc, that's just a step below an
occy or death's fathom.

I hadn't planned on a fo sorc on this ladder, but it's hard not to build
a character around a find like that. I guess I'll have to wait and see
if I find a cold skills ammy.

Would anyone out there in have access to a complete Mavina's set in single
player? I would appreciate if I could get a copy of it. Thanks in advance.

What the heck are you doing in the UK gardening group? I used to post
there regularly until I got chased out by the old biddies who kept
giving me grief. Western Washington State, where I lived at the time
had zones identical to most of GB, so it was a good resource, but the
thought of a Yank infiltrating their little tea party was more than
some of them could handle, and I got flamed a lot. Oddly, they were
nice to the posters from Western Canada, but not me, even though I
lived a scant 70 miles south of Vancouver, BC.

Now I am in Tampa where its all palm trees and armadillos, and I
thought I'd give them a little bait for a laugh, but the fish in that
pond have got too wise.

As for me, I'm good, just waiting for D3 to land, whenever it may.
Still play a little SP, but haven't been to the Realms in over a year.

Just got killed again. I wonder if I'll ever be any good at this game.
HCL meterorb sorc clvl65: just beaten NM Baal: Thought I'd have a
stroll on Hell Blood Moor....dead in a second. She was max lightning
and fire immune so I thought it would be OK, but she only had 800 life
(lot of points in Strength to lift Spirit Monarch). She was capped by
a Quill Rat minion: 'Bang' 'Bang' and gone.... I'm more upset about
this than the lvl 85 Blizzard sorc who felt the touch of Pindle....
Damn, I hate this game...and it hates me. I just can't go back to SC
now. I'm hooked forever, and anyway, there's still my
skellymancer...... and so on .....and on....

Just those of the western realm, with no mules.

I am a little uncertain on the use of Frenzy. Is it preferable to
attack initially with Frenzy, then switch to Double Swing for the 6
second duration, or just attack with Frenzy? thanks
